Speed issue

FH4 still seems to be going slower than a Citroen C2 with bricks for wheels as of today (can’t check if it crashes again yet), despite rebooting the console (including a full shut down), router, networking equipment etc etc etc :frowning: (no other games are affected with the same issue so far, other than Grid Legends, but even that loads and stays stable after 2-3 attempts).

Checked my speed (it’s averaging 60Mbps) and latency, and can rule those out too. All networking kit is 1GB (internal obviously) all working fine too (I hate being a professional techie sometimes).

/edit

Yes before anyone asks, all internal cables are CAT 6/6E and have been checked to make sure there’s no issues with them.

And as I typed the edit, FH4 crashed whilst fast-tracking me to the location for the latest seasonal stunt jump :frowning:

im not sure and you should probably submit a ticket via the support link at the top of the page but it would be good to know your OS and system, someone on the same setup may be able to tell you if they are either suffering the same problems (in which case its widespread) or their game is working as normal and its something to do you with you and your system.

Edit - something you can also check is the free space on your drive as that could effect performance

Will do that, cheers (xBox One X on the latest Insider Omega build btw, 522GB free on the drive it’s installed on (got 2 external drives with a combined 4.5TB free between them), game is installed on the internal drive)

you could check the game settings on your system to make sure all the parts are installed on the internal drive, Ive seen things strangely seem to jump from my internal drive to the external one over time. If its all there try disconnecting the external drives and running the game to see if that makes any difference

Just checked the storage and everything is on the internal drive. Will try disconnecting the external drives but doubt it’ll help (some of the games working fine are on the external drives).

As an aside, I really wish the xBox allowed taking screenshots without a game running lol (could’ve sworn it used to).

Ticket has been sent btw. If it comes to it, I’ll also try uninstalling then re-installing all 90+GB of the game.

I put a request in to Microsoft btw, to allow for a method to check a drives health (internal and external), but doubt it’ll get added any time soon (if ever).

im on the xbox1x too and on the preview program (not sure which tier) if you give me till tomorrow ill be able to check if its running normally for me, if you want to hold off on the 90gb dl

Much appreciated, cheers  (already got it re-installing as I write this, another quick test produced the same result annoyingly).

Hi, I got a chance to boot my game up and it seems to be running fine, took a while to start up but once it was going it was fine, couldnt remember where to find which preview build tier im on but its OS version 10.0.22621.2215

Cheers for letting me know.

I’ve had it re-installing whilst I was asleep, going to try it again later (got the niece and nephew here atm)

Re-install of the game seems to have sorted it out so far (fingers crossed lol). Been able to go more than 20 minutes without it crashing anyway.
