Speculation about the second expansion for FH3.

Exactly! With all the DLC and expansion pack cars, those that bought them but never cared about them would have a reason to try them out!

Yeah, I didn’t mean for it to be the second expansion. I wouldn’t want to see it as that either. Just make a new tab for it or something in the pause menu. Although AgonizedSpace13 brings up a fair point of Forzathon. In some cases, it’s kind of like a pseudo-1000 club. “Do this in a certain car to win X.” “Do this in a certain brand to win Y.”

I don’t know. I think it would be a great way to bring back some life into this game on more than just Fridays.

Probably won’t see the actual expansion until May, or if not then, launched alongside the Scorpio and subsequent FM7 reveal at E3 in June. Which I just made up, but is certainly plausible given the recent track record.

I really liked the 1000 club. It prompted you to use a ton of cars you normally wouldn’t.

Iol let’s do the Porsche expansion talk all over again but now it’s turned into McLaren expansion.

Except this time there’s an actual reason to do an expansion (in conjunction with a film release - which went down pretty well with the Fast and Furious one, although yes I do realise this was standalone and not part of the expansion pass etc.), and we haven’t paid for McLarens 3 times already.

McLaren expansion is an “interesting” idea, but there are some problems.

First, McLaren collaborates with Project Cars 2. Will they collaborate with the rival Forza series at the same time?
Especially the Project Cars 2 is announced that McLaren 720S is the first video game to appear …

And the fact that McLaren has not appeared on the recent DLC can not be a real reason why the second expansion is McLaren.
If that is the reason, Mitsubishi, Plymouth, Bugatti will be the second expansion as well.

I not like McLaren.
However, I am supportive of your enthusiasm for McLaren. Good luck.

While there has been collaboration between Slightly Mad (who make Project Cars) and McLaren over the 720S, nowhere does it say explicitly that the first game to feature the 720S will be Project Cars 2, and their collaboration is nowhere near as wide-ranging as Porsche/EA or Ford/FH3, so the door is still wide open for future McLaren DLC cars.

As for the no previous DLC cars thing, it’s true that none of those companies have had DLC cars in FH3, but you wouldn’t necessarily expect/want the latest Mitsubishis or special edition Bugattis (they’d have to delve pretty deep to find 8+ Bugattis to add as an expansion) to be added to the game. However, the fact that cars like the F1 GTR ‘Long Tail’ that have been in previous Forzas, and well-requested ones such as the 675LT are absent makes McLaren one of the most under-represented brands in the game, alongside Porsche and VW (for obvious reasons), and for some reason Lamborghini. I never said that was the sole reason for a McLaren expansion, just a contributing factor.

We need some teaser !

Hey does anyone think they will come out with a Fast and furious pack or expansion soon

I would prefer a Fast and Furious Expansion rather than Car pack, because I’m still wondering what the second expansion is?

I’m still wondering if we at all will get news on the second expansion this month lol.

How do you know what people want? I’d love some of the older Bugattis to make an appearance in games.

Not really, there’s a fair amount of Bugatti’s out there including concepts and production models. Not to mention the bespoke bodies put on some of them. You could make an expansion consisting purely of the Type 41 Royale body types, for example.

I’d say there’s less represented brands in game, such as AMC, Bentley, Cadillac, Chrysler, GMC, Maserati, Mini, Morgan, Peugeot, Plymouth, Pontiac, Rolls Royce, Saleen, TVR and Vauxhall, Those I’d rather see have their lists added to before another generic looking modern super/hyper car.

I’d say modern Lamborghini is pretty well represented. Could do with some more of the older Lambo’s to balance it out a bit.

I completely agree with you with some older Bugattis, but like 2 or 3, not 8.
And also yes I agree that there are other under-represented brands in game, but McLaren is up there with them (i.e. not necessarily ahead of them) considering its recent popularity, past 50 years of racing heritage, and key models that are missing from the game at present.
I too would like to see a few older Lambos (e.g. 350GT, Espada, etc.) to balance things out, but they’re also missing a few of the newer models. IMO there should be more than just one Murcielago/Gallardo/Diablo considering all 3 had production runs of around a decade (a fair while in supercar terms). Plus it’d be nice to see the Aventador J back after a brief appearance in FH1.

Will this new expansion of fh3? A map containing an area for gymkhana mode with access to free ride and events just as happens in dirt 4?
With the forthcoming release of dirt 4, it seems to me an expansion with gymkhana mode as a way to stifle the launch of Codemasters game

My Dream would be a Return to Europe DLC with the Horizon 2 Map and VW

I’m bored now… I need news! Actually, I’m going to start a class action against Microsoft Studios, T10 and PG Games on behalf of everyone who bought the expansion pass.

Unless…

  1. We find out something about the next expansion by GMT 19:00hrs on Tuesday, 25th April.
  2. I (Lord Brewster) am the next Bounty Hunter Rival.
  3. We get ice cream!

MS, T10, PG… look out, you’ve been told! Class actions suck!

Lol, good luck with that. They said we will get info on it this month, we still have 4 days left to get info/news.

It’s the 24th so you actually get 6 but they are really under no legal obligation to divulge anything even if they said there would be information. Just goes to show that buying season passes these days prior to launch is a waste. At least with a car pass you know when to expect the content and to have a reasonable assumption that said content will be ready for delivery. It’s the same situation in Steep. They dragged for months on DLC release dates and have now given one for their next pack.

I know 6 but 4 cause they don’t work on the weekend. When was the last time they gave us info on the weekend?

Guess what? I have an idea!

So I bought the Porsche Pack for XB1 and noticed something in the process. Instead of going to the store like anyone normally would, I first went to the “DLC Cars” section in the auto show, selected the PP, and selected the Panamera. Afterwards, like in recent DLC for Forza, you are prompted to buy either the one car for a few dollars, or the pack for 7. HOWEVER, the text on the right of the menus basically said, “You can purchase the individual car for $X or the pack for $Y.” Then below that, it said, “The expansion is also included as a part of the expansion pass.” I was on XB1 and didn’t even think to take a picture, and of course, the moment is gone now (sorry). I also noticed that the (Porsche pack spoilers ahead) upgrade presets for the Carrera RS and the 911 GT2 have neither a title nor a description (one looks like a Forza rally kit, and the other a RWB).

Based on this, I think the pack really was rushed. A Porsche expansion may have been a possibility, and they rushed the pack so a new expansion could be made. I’m not complaining or trying to put down PG or T10 or even MS at all for this.

But if this is correct (which it probably isn’t) then the expansion may take a bit longer than anticipated.

Also, if anyone plans on purchasing the pack on XB1 soon, please try and verify my findings. I have a feeling that this is open for ridicule with my little to no evidence.

Someone has already posted the pics of what you are saying in previous threads
They have messed up somewhere
