I have an annoying bug. Very often I get a scratchy noise instead of some normal sounds (when drifting or driving over cobblestone in Prag), especially when the XBox was on standby. The problem exists only in Forza 5, so I am pretty sure that this is a bug in the game and no problem with my console. The problem appears only during a race, not in any menus. I have to restart the game to get rid of the scratches.
To the extremer versions:
One time with a Ferrari F40 the sound stopped completely. It was like a loop on a damaged record, when the needle jumps to the same place over and over again. After the race (I muted the TV^^) the loading screen came, but then nothing happened and I had to restart the game.
Two times since I bought the game it just stopped. That means it ended itself and I got back to the XBox main menu.
All other games work fine.
I have the disc-version of the game, bought it on 6. January 2014.
I hope I am not the only one with those problems and that the bugs will be fixed sometime.
I have the same problem and its only getting worse. I’m tempted to do a re-install but don’t want to risk losing all my cars/tune/credits and probably would’nt work either.
I seriously doubt these sound bugs are going to be fixed as no acknowledgement of the problem exists.
I can confirm that sometimes (rarely for me, about 1/50 races), sometime during the race sounds gets corrupted, like if game would lower sounds of engines for about 80%…
Have sound problems with forza5 since day one I’ve just excepted it now, the random crashing to home screen is the nightmare.
Try rebooting the console when the game sound becomes distorted, usually does the trick,
Anything new on the scratching audio noise during races? Very annoying and can ruin the great experience that Forza 5 offers.
