Is there a way to race in the drag strip solo or can go to the car meets with a private group not having anyone in it but me and a friend? Wanna race my cars and tune them with out having to deal with Car meets letting lower classes go first which is kinda dumb if your just trying to tune and stuff. Need to know if there is a drag race in the campaign before I waste my time doing it.
There’s an event on the runway that you can set up in private lobbies, thats the full mile or so. Whatever it is. When I do any drag racing with friends, I head to the end of the runway with the speed camera. I set a way point a few times to find the 1/4 mile distance, 440 yards or so. If you look around at the small road next to the runway, south side, there’s a small tree between the road and the runway. If you drive to the set of white lines close to that tree, on the runway, the end of the lines closest to the camera is a good start point for 1/4 mile. I just run to the speed camera. I have no idea if my cars would be competitive with some of the other drag guys but I shoot for somewhere between 155 and 165 mph at the camera.
Hope that helps. It would be cool if there was some good drag content in these games. Also, I only run RWD and V8’s for drag racing so my speed maybe alot slower than those with the AWD V12’s.
You can race it in rivals mode: Go to Rivals tab in the menu → Festival Route Rivals → Outback → and it’s 5th race from the left. You can tune your car in the prerace menu but you can’t load tunes or add upgrades there.
