Initial D RX7 - Cartoon Style
Given that Manga seems popular round here in various formats, I wanted to do a twist on the usual Initial D style paints and make the car actually look like it was straight out of the cartoon. I think it was semi successful and it does look great in the B+W photo’s!

I’m thinking of applying it to a few other cars so if anyone has any requests I’ll be happy to oblige. It’s quite specific to bodykit style so it may be best to upload a bodywork and rim tune so I can make sure everything fits but I’ll be happy to try!

I started off going for something a little more ‘street’ in the style of Eric Claptons modified 458 etc, but it evolved into something with a bit more of a race feel thanks in part to the beautifully fitting race aero and also to the window panel fitting really well, it just suited really well and I ended up here…

A Pretty Pair of Petronas Benz’s

The first of the pair, after receiving the SL65 as DLC I had to put something on it, and the new Merc F1 livery seemed like a good place to start!

After finishing the SL65 I knew I wanted to do another Petronas livery and seen as a Mercedes is the best candidate I knew the baby Merc with the red detailing was the way to go!

I completed the Aventador below first and liked the technique but wanted to push it to another level, and I had something in mind, so I found something that would fit the colour scheme. Unfortunately that something was 7 hours of my life painting a watch brand that is notorious among the Forza community… but here we are;

I started playing with overlapping fades and shapes and ended up with this, given that 3M make some incredible wraps and that no other brand I liked had a similar suitability to something a little bit nuts, this seemed the best way to go. So far these are my two favourite FM5 paints, I hope everyone enjoys them!
