Correct me if the game already does this but after testing last night with a few different cars I don’t think it does.
I’d like to have a simulation (e.g. real-wold equivalent) option for every assist in the game.
Example A: If racing a Porsche that doesn’t have an option for clutch manual in the real world, the simulation assist option would automatically set manual shifting without a clutch. An old muscle car would automatically set manual w/clutch.
Example B: If racing an old car that didn’t come with ABS/TC/SC, it doesn’t have it in-game either.
Essentially just automatically apply real-world settings to the car being driven. Editing assists every time one jumps into a different car gets a bit cumbersome and tedious after a while. It’s also difficult to know how every car is/was equipped in the real world (vis a vis did this mid 80’s car have ABS/TC/SC?). With this behavior, if one desires to drive all cars equipped as they are/were in the real world, you’ll often have to go outside of Forza to get information on said car’s real-life specifications. Upgrades would provide the option to circumvent such barriers (e.g. if I want to purchase and install a no-clutch manual in a 69 Camaro I can).
The cards/mods system is fine but for people like me who want an experience that mirrors reality as closley as possible, I don’t really like being subjected to all the hand holding mechanics in order to achieve the same level of point winning as those that play in a more casual/arcade manner.
Let us crank the difficulty and be rewarded fairly for such a challenge. No gimicks or point boosts needed. Just good old fashioned hard earned wins!
Great game and great work!
