Showoff Skills Bugged?

I have searched and read a few guides, but Showoff Skills seem bugged to me. I have run a half dozen races and drifted past opponents getting skill pop-ups like Great Drift followed by Awesome Pass, etc, but no Showoff Skills. Anyone else have this issue? It seems like if I PASS another racer WHILE DRIFTING that should meet the criteria, but over and over, nothing happens. The weekly challenge is impossible?

Are you using the right car?

For the current weekly it has to be the eclipse GSX…

I setup a blueprint race at Bamburgh Coast Circuit - ten laps in the rain … you should get it done much quicker than that…

I am using the right car for the weekly. Thanks for the advice. I’ll give that race a shot.

I managed the daily challenge this week for the 3 Showoff Skills, but even that still seemed like I did a lot of drift passes without getting Showoff Skill credit for them.

I don’t think you’re allowed to touch the other car either (The one that you are passing)… not sure.

Here, i’ll give you a little cheat for this one. Do it on street races. So many sharp turns to slide around. I did it in one race. Pick marathon and do it on that one. Then you can quit the race once its completed

I did most of mine doing the cross country circuit near bamburgh castle
Was able to get 2 in the first lap on the first 3 corners

First, I did have a problem where none of the challenges were registering, and had to restart the console to fix it. So rule that out too.

But showoff skills can be tricky to do on purpose. For me, they just sort of happen. I got the 3 for the Friday daily challenge while doing the championship for the Hotwheels Mustang. Too bad the Eclipse wasn’t eligible for that championship, or I could have combo’d them.

Dirt races worked best for me. Some people prefer road races. I averaged about one per race, and had to do 6 whole races before I got them all.

I did mine at the track (can’t remember it’s name) that’s right at the festival site. I put the drivatars on above average and then just e-brake drifted every corner. I didn’t really pay attention to if I was hitting anyone or not, just kept drifting every corner while passing. Once I was in the lead, I’d brake, let all the cars pass me, and start doing it again. It only took me to the 2nd lap to have it completed.
