Should the filter in car selection be optimized?

Does anyone else think the filter (the one while changing cars) is lackluster at best? It takes quite some time to scroll to a car type you need, can’t go to the bottom of the filter when coming from the top, and in general has lots of wasted space and opportunites?

I really like the manufacturer filter, it is easy to navigate, and want the regular filter to get a similar treatment. I’ve added a mockup of mine to showcase what i’m talking about. Would also like anyones thoughts on it.

I hate having to scroll through that list every time I’m looking for a car type. There’s more than enough screen space to have it displayed all at once, as you’ve shown with your mockup.

There’s other questionable UI decisions that have been made throughout the entire game.

Yes, it is pretty deficient. Nothing changed from FH4, even after all the feedback we gave em. Also, im completely lost at this point why a filter for NEW cars isnt added yet. Or a way to see which cars you recently got.

It could definitely be streamlined and made more efficient.
Given one of the key game hooks is more or less this is Pokemon but for Cars (gotta drive em all), many players will end up with massive scrolling lists right?
(This is genuinely problematic for open-PI class events.)

I also miss the car collection from FH4. It had the same filtering as the other car selection screens, more or less, and before completing the collection it was really easy to go to car collection, do a filter on type and ‘not owned’ and see if you were missing any killer cars for an event type. The new car collection screen wastes a lot of real estate and is less functional, sadly.

They could make good optimisations across the board.

For example, remember previous choices when gifting cars instead of forcing player to select each option again.

Car garage, remember player filters so that players can quickly scroll through cars they care about such as favorite cars.

Painting cars, allow us to clone the paint job from one car to another.

Accolades, don’t force users to scroll/tab through endless menus to receive reward.

Car choice in online races. Order cars by most used first by default based on user, class, track.

Wheel spins. Let us do bulk wheel spins at once.

Shall I continue?
