Hey gang. Hope everyone’s enjoying FH2 so far. I’m still pretty new to the series and just got my feet wet with Forza 5 this year. I enjoyed painting almost as much as racing and hope to carry that over to FH2 now. I’ll be adding new designs as I complete them.

For now, just a quick teaser. Looks like the paparazzi must have been hiding in the bushes as I pulled up to an exclusive French Riviera golf club in my new Gallardo. This one’s just my daily driver and I’ll probably keep tweaking on it for a while. More to come …

RagingRoach and Ace … thanks for the comments. It’s hard to tell from that pic … but underneath the honeycomb on the sides was chrome. Didn’t really stand out as well as I’d hoped … so I’ve been tinkering with some different color combinations. Here’s the latest go at it:

Thanks. Got this Gallardo … the LP570-4 Superleggera … as a pre-order bonus dlc from GameStop, the retailer where I purchased the game. Been using it as my primary car in the game so far. Handles great and tops out around 215 mph as I have it configured now.

And I was trying to duplicate the actual Gallardo logo. Think I got it pretty close.

I am really digging the lines on the front - accents it nicely. Overall it is a nice presentation, but a bit too orange for my taste. Good work though!

Full disclosure - I love Lamborghini’s and McLaren’s that are all orange, but for some reason the orange just conflicts with the black/red combo (for me).

RagingRoach … appreciate the comments. And also the feedback. Give me some ideas of different colors to combine with the black/red. I tried chrome underneath the honeycomb … which I thought would really look cool … but it just didn’t show up as much as I hoped it would. If you have some ideas … I’ll try them. Everyone has different thoughts and you might mention a combination that I haven’t thought of before.

Thanks Dose. I haven’t shared it yet as I’m still tweaking a bit here and there. I’ll let everyone here know when it is shared … but if you don’t see it when you get that Lambo, let me know.

Okay … how about a sneak peak at my next WIP. It’s a Red Bull livery for the Lamborghini Urus. Loosely based on the design of the Kamaz T4 Dakar race truck (see below).

So here’s the base paint for my Urus. Still a lot of logo work to do, but I thought I’d let you guys see what was next in the pipeline.

I love my Urus, and this is definitely going on it when finished. The white splashing into blue on the front looks even better than on the real Dakar truck.

100% agree. The paint looks great on the Urus! Especially the lighter blue, gives it a unique, summertime look. Great job man, keep it up!

For the Gallardo, I wouldn’t do many more colors. That’s why I enjoyed the first design more - it was primarily black/red with subtle hints of white and maybe silver on the Gallardo logo. The little orange streak on the hood in your second revision was fine, worked nicely. But the orange side just seemed too overpowering for me. I guess what I am trying to say is the original car appeared more black to me with some great red highlights. A subdued, low profile look. In the second revision, the orange overpowered it and the car became very flashy. That likely could be just because the orange is a much brighter color than the original red. I also think a bit of the design gets lost in the brighter color too. Don’t get me wrong, I think people would like both revisions. I just personally would see myself buying the first one, not necessarily the second one.

I would also agree with ABGRAPHICS - a little metallic on the car can do wonders for the visuals as well.

I do find it funny that I like the toned down paint job on a car that is designed to be noticed. While I can appreciate the striking orange or yellow paints Lamborghini offers, there is just something about the black/red combo that looks fantastic on the car. I could see that color also being very popular. It’s not as in your face, and has that refined beauty to it. Maybe a blue/dark red or blue/black combo might work.

When i first saw Red Bull I was a little worried as they are everywhere but i’m glad to say the source pic changed my mind entirely! That’s a very different take on the normal theme, the light blue flipped the livery on its head in a good way. Will be rocking it when you are completed.

This, never particularly cared for the Urus but this livery is changing my mind. Nice job so far, I can’t wait to see the rest!

Okay, seeing as I had some good recommendations from you guys about the Gallardo, I may end up doing a couple of versions. Now finished with version 1 that some of you may want to download. So here it is:

AB suggested to go metallic with a cutout of the ‘Gallardo’ graphic, so that’s now included. Also went back to the chrome base instead of the gold as it seemed several people liked that look better. It’s now shared under ‘WildcatKNH’ as Creator. Grab it if you like it and thanks for the input. More to come …

Sweet!

It sound really daft just using metallic but its the little tricks and details that take a cool livery to an awesome one!
(Not even sure if i have access to the Gallardo!? :S need to check as wasn’t it a day one freebie thing for a few retailers?!)

@AB … glad you like it. And thanks for the input. Unfortunately, it was a pre-order bonus car from a retailer … so it may have to come out in another dlc someday before you can get it.
