Settings - Default tuning of most cars have front tires with too much pressure (1736406)

Unlike FM7 and FH5 which have sensible defaults for tire pressure, most cars in the new FM come with too much pressure in the front tires only.

It’s not uncommon for cars to come with 2.8 bar of pressure on the front tires (around 40 PSI) and 2.3 bars on the back tires (around 33 PSI).

Not only 2.8 is too much for many of the cars, this huge discrepancy between front and back tires causes most cars to heavily understeer by default.

Yes you don’t know DriFt iS CoOl?

Understeering isn’t drifting, so it’s not even cool

Not just tire pressure, but other basic settings as well. BMW M3 by default had the brake bias set to the rear so the back end always wanted to come around under hard braking. At least the tire pressure can be adjusted right away, but I had to waste points on racing brakes just to fix it.

Does this issue still persist after recent updates? Would it be possible to provide a video of this in action?

Yes this is still a problem.
Recently I did a career tour in the Hyundai Veloster and the front tyre pressure was set to 2.8 bar by default. This would cause a lot of understeer on the car. Later when upgrading the tyres to street the pressure reset to 2.8.
When looking online the pressure should be at 2.3 bar, which is still a lot for racing, but it’s the recommended value for street use by the manufacturer.

This is just one example of many.
