Seasonal events suck worse and worse each passing season

Honest question for the devs: are you guys even trying to make people want to play your game?
Seasons are supposed to give players an incentive to come back to the game every week to play limited time seasonal events. So why do you, seemingly, do everything in your power to sabotage that?

  1. Less events then on launch: no James Bond tournaments for the second week in a row. Is even simple rotation suddenly too difficult for you to implement? You had no problem rotating Forzathon challenges in FH3, yet you failed to even match that in the sequel, that’s supposed to be taking features a step forward. All you have to do is set up a simple rotation of already existing championships and then expand the selection at some point.
  2. By design, every seasonal tournament can be played solo, in co-op and in pvp, giving separate rewards for each mode. So why on Earth are you giving rewards that can be won only once, like emotes and suits? Not only are you making it pointless to replay the tournament, you even managed to discourage people from playing it once. You already had wheelspins and super wheelspins as rewards. What was wrong with that?
  3. Co-op championship is a mockery, at this point. You’re telling people to go buy a Vantage for 400K, tune it and race it against unbeatable drivatars, just to win a crappy horn. Even worse, I couldn’t even find enough people to race. There’s literally no one who wants to play your crappy championship and if they do, they can’t. WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU THINKING (WITH)? Did everyone who had a functioning brain just get up and leave?

I rented the vantage and won the championship on my first go. Beep beep.

That’s totally not the point. I’m not complaining about the difficulty or the car price. I’m saying the championship reward is crap. As a result, a lot less people play it now than a week ago, when it was bugged and the reward was unobtainable at all.

Agree with everything above, but just have to say, I bought the Vantage, tuned it and love it. That sucker is on rails. Great skill tree payout too. Worth the $400K.
All other comments above are proper. The seasonal co-op championships are lame…IF you get a group together to do them, is a green suit or horn worth the time? Nope.

I agree with all of this. At the very least keep the standard 5k-wheelspin-super reward trio that has some degree of potential value for everyone.

Part of the problem is that these are the only championships we get to play and if they aren’t to our liking we are screwed because they cannot be altered. H3s big step FORWARD was blueprints so we could blue print out the championships we didn’t like for a class or car that we did. They decided to forgo player choice for a more restrictive game. I feel this is a massive mistake. A lot of us really miss championships and especially blueprint championships. These seasonal championships are just another thing this game offers that I want to avoid at any cost. Since that cost is some stupid horn or outfit it is pretty easy to do.

What is the point of horns anyway? In H3 is started convoy but here I haven’t found a use yet? Hence I have never used it but once or tice when I figured out they took away the interesting and useful convoy feature.

I don’t really have anything against what they’re doing, but after fast traveling to the seasonal events to check out rewards and find there are zero cars involved, I won’t bother with any of them. I guess if they want people to love emotes, clothes and horns, they’ll have to find someone else to do their events.

And of course the cherry on top is the seasonal PR stunt that showed completed before even doing as I’d guess originaly original speed was higher than seasonal requirement. So no super wheelspin for me.

But I do like the Bone Shaker.

I stopped doing seasonal ones because the rewards are not worth it at all, they were the thing that kept me coming back each season but now the motivation to fire up the game is even less, back to forza 7, atleast there’s a better multiplayer experience there! And better forzathon with better rewards

Totally agree with this, I can’t believe they just gave the bone shaker away, surely it would have made more sense to give it as a prize for one championship so you could enter the other one. Horns and stupid emote’s are the least worthwhile goal ever, even 5k credits would have been better.

Mmm… Peeps complain about lack of races. Get races complain that no point in racing…

Zere eez no pleezing yoo. Also, if the reward was 5000 and the horn stuff never existed, it would still complain. It comes down to wanting quick completion at no effort. Take race, do race, enjoy race.

If something from racing is lacking, head on to suggestions and get going a constructiveness to it.

What a load of nonsense. You and the devs, for that matter, apparently don’t understand game theory, since you take issue with meaningful rewards for races. So it’s not that there’s no pleasing “us”, it’s that you have no idea how to please players. Also, I can’t just “Take race, do race, enjoy race”, since there’s no one willing to race, because the rewards are crap. I, personally, would race anyway, only I got bored of waiting 4 minutes for the matchmake to begin and then a few minutes more until it hits a timeout due to lack of players. So there goes your remark about lack of effort on our part. I appreciate the challenge of a race, just not the challenge of getting into a race.

I get into races pretty easily. I had to wait for the matchmaking timer to end, but after that it was easy and full of players. Did I do it for the horns and stuff? No, because I like racing, they were a nice reward tho for doing something I enjoy. So there goes your remark I guess, huh?

Yeah, you got me. “Matchmaking worked for me” is a great argument, you win the internet today.
