S2

Ok…why the lack of s2 racing in online open?? I have compromised with the decision to remove our choice of online racing. I’ve enjoyed to an extent the open online racing. Put up with never ending mixed terrain/ cross country. But jeeeeeezus h Christ…why is s2 never included!? I am tired of slow races! What is so wrong about fast!? I get it…we can’t hurt anyone’s feelings anymore by being a better player. But c’mon a lot of us are s2 players so why the discrimination? Hey heres forza horizon 5…a car/racing game…but don’t go fast…does not make any sense! I like this game I really do…(thats me trying really hard to like it) implement some competition for the love of god!

I would love to know how it currently works because I do not believe the system randomly picks a class out of b, a, s1 and s2. I suspect instead that it’s based on time of day. Meaning, for the next hour you will play this class, even if you just played it. That or it’s heavily weighted towards one class during that time. Inwhich case could explain what’s happening to you. Of course none of this would be a problem if they allowed players to pick or vote on what they wanted to do.

I dont think it has to do with time of the day. AFAIK only thing it looks are;

-It cant be S2 CC or D, C,.
-Race type and class has to change after each playlist. For example, if we get S1 road, next event cant be S1 or road racing. It can only be B, A, S2 and street, CC, Mixed.

I have tried all hours of the day and night…in between work etc. It is always A class or B class mixed or cross country. Literally s2 is treated like an anomaly. I have raced already hundreds of b class or A class and literally s2 has come up as many times as fingers I have on one hand. It is just hard to digest this franchise has took a turn for the worse directly after being the sole reason I got back into gaming via FH4…

Agree. Fortunately I don’t think it would make take much effort on their part to fix issues like this. Unfortunately I don’t think they will. Like you said, a turn for the worse.

A shame as the ingredients for the most epic of car games was within reach…I had a lot more to say but I’ll just leave it at that. Thanks anonymous for your reply

Speed is relative. You can go relatively fast in any class.

You are right Ti…each class has their respective fast. The question is why is s2 not included as that is clearly the “fast” I and others might be after?

A class B class A class B class…you cannot argue that those 2 classes don’t dominate open online clearly. Why?

It’s a fair question. The breadth and control of multiplayer options in general seems to be lacking. Based on various complaints I’ve seen over the years, I suspect it’s a darned-if-you-do/don’t situation. If they leave the options up to the players, people complain about certain classes/race types being neglected. If they cycle them in randomly people complain about certain classes/race types showing up. So maybe they went for as middle-of-the-road an option as they could.

That is a logical response granted…but why then have s2 if that is not in the devs realm of in the middle? And why is the argument for people say, that dont like s2, more of a concern than people that do? Why do I need to sacrifice what I and others purchased this edition for? It was in the last edition with complete success proven by daily lobbies of s2 racing.

Why have S2 in general? Because there’s more to the game than multiplayer, and outside of multiplayer the options are still relatively open. Sometimes I gotta do an S2 Cross Country race in, like, Classic Racers or something ridiculous.

I vaguely recall people complaining in previous games as well as Motorsport about bad drivers in S2 being unable to control their vehicles. Maybe that’s what Ranked was for? I honestly don’t know. I’ve seen a variety of complaints in the forums over the years, but when it comes to PvP I’m on the outside looking in.

The best drivers/racers there are mind you…

I have literally lost over 20+ racing friendships to fh5. How is that justifiable? It simply is not.

I don’t know what you are talking about, the other day I had 3 or 4 S2 mixed races in a row. I won’t play S2 mixed surface races, it’s bad enough just playing road races with angry children in over powered hyper cars they can’t control on road surfaces. Most of the time they can’t even handle B class. Last S2 road race I did online I lapped a person twice on a 3 lap race, only had 2 other racers besides me, and I was the only one that could actually drive S2 class, and I’m not that great at it myself.
To be honest, they should just make a separate lobby for S2 and require qualifying to enter it.

And now as always…here I am in the open map with 1 other player!? Out of 12+million it’s always a lonely experience. I was a kid in the 90s on AOL with more life online than now in fh5 in 2021. Again how can one justify this? Of course now I am venting but that is only because I am trying so hard to get past these glaring faults that are absolutely hindering what should be the best darn game out…according to “sales”

As a solo experience you’re right. The game is as it should be. As a multiplayer game which it is as well…it is completely lacking. Honestly it is severely misleading as of now in that department. If this were the 90s and I picked this up as a cartridge console game…100% awesome…but that isn’t the case. Anyhow thank you for your responses TI

Oh yea…as for players not able to control vehicles in s2 class…those were very rare in the last edition as we were a racing community of everyday regulars. And when those that couldn’t keep the pace entered…they were not even an obstacle as they wouldn’t last past the first turn in regards to being a disturbance in our race.

But as always they were welcome…

Why have S2 Accolade for Horizon Tour when there are zero S2 events in circulation?
