I know there are better cars to build for S1 racing, but I just love the R34 and want to make it fast as possible. I’m very happy with the build I currently have on it and I have to say, for my first track build (I should really say time attack build since I’m always trying to beat rivals with it and trying to go against my own ghost). I know the R34 can go faster, for instance, my fastest lap time on the figure eight circuit in the outback is 00:55.7 and I look at the leaderboards for an R34 that has done it faster and I found an R34 that had a lap time of 00:53. I have my R34 tune uploaded on my store in FH3. Just search DominicBourneLG and the tune is called Tack Test 1.0, I just need suggestions on what I could possibly do to make it faster.
Hey there, I was able to achieve a 54.922 w/ the V8 swap. I noticed with the V8, you have less weight, but that also means less horsepower. My car weighed 2,627, 526 HP, 467 ft-lb TQ. Your car has about 100+ lbs with about 140 or so more HP and 40 or so more Torque.
The thing about racing AWD cars is they’re generally heavier, and bear much more understeer than a RWD car. I’m speaking from experience as I’m a 574 with number 6 spots and top 100’s on leaderboards. I can say for sure that your car tune has a very noticeable difference in weight and cornering than mine. With that in mind, I’d say adjust your car for the track you’re looking to attack. The figure eight has some tricky turns where any extra weight, oversteer or understeer can harm your time. It also make a big impact depending what assists you have on. Good luck out there.
Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it. As much as I hate to V8 swap a GTR, if it’ll get me a faster lap time, I’ll do it. I did tune it a little more and got a 55.6 time. As for my assists, I always run all assists off with simulation steering and manual with clutch
