This is not a Porsche, nor is it a restomod. Instead of chopping up a classic 911, RUF make their own carbon fiber bodies, a much better way to celebrate the legendary Porsche 911, in my opinion. Alongside the Porsche, the CTR Anniversary also celebrates RUF’s own most legendary model, and at one point, the fastest car in the world, the CTR Yellowbird. The “new” CTR is essentially what the 964 Turbo would have been if the current technologies had been available. It weighs just 1200 kg, and has a 710 PS twin-turbo flat-6, which is as powerful as the most powerful factory 911 ever, the 991.2 GT2 RS. It’s a bit more expensive and exclusive though, with just 50 examples made, each priced at around 900 000 €. If you want a 911, but are unsatisfied with Porsche’s own offerings, the CTR is the best option.
Note: The CTR Anniversary was first unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017 to pay homage the original CTR that was unveiled in 1987, and it eventually went into production in 2019
