Ride Height Questions

What is considered even ride height?

Is it when the sliders are equal or when the numbers are equal?

why do some cars have uneven numbers when the sliders are at the same point as well?

Thanks

When the numbers are equal.if the sliders are equal and the numbers are different its because there was an uneven ride height to begin with.

Cool but then should I be looking to equal the numbers for even ride height(Is that the general preference for racing) or does it suggest the optimal setting for that car would be an uneven ride height?

It truly varies from car to car in my experience. As I’m sure you know having even ride hight should give you a more neutral car if all other settings are even. Higher rear will aid in turn in response, and lower rear will provide a bit of stability mostly on mid or rear engine cars. If you look at those F1 cars in your signature they are the perfect example of a higher rear which aids turn in and will squat at speed with aero load. I try and keep the sliders even most of the time and adjust them when needed.

It is best to have cars as low as possible without bottoming them out. if the car allows you to even fine if the rear has to be a little higher so that you dont bottom out do it that way. this can also be adjusted with suspension stiffness as well allowing for a lower car, but the handeling characteristics may not be there.

Lowest without bottoming out. (may be the highest setting available for the car)
