thats true. In most car games i have to buy the same car about 3-4 times because i keep selling them to make some quick money.
i find it really stupid you cant sell a car after all the money you spend on the cars you would thought you can sell it after you finished with it and i would of thought the would bring a auction house on it as it did really well on forza 4
That’s why I haven’t bought many cars in the game, cause you cant sell them back for at least a few credits. I would hate to spend the credits and than be unhappy with the car.and not be able to redeem some credit back.
Not getting money back for purchased cars isn’t really that bad. Credits come at a stupid rate (In a session, i could rake in an easy 500,000 cr without breaking a sweat, others could do alot more), cars at much cheaper than their counterpart (Such as the Ferrari 250 GTO & California. Both are approx. 1/3rd the price of their FM4 counterpart), and with the reduced number of cars in game, garage limit isn’t playing a factor in restricting how many versions of a car you can buy (Yet, we will have to see how many more DLC cars get added.)
In all honesty, i prefer this method. No cheap ways to grind out credits, less ways for a cheater to prosper, and each car holds value rather than being a garage filler like alot of cars were on FM4. I could easily sell 1 car for 500,000,000 with no problem. All that they need to do is extend the amount of tunes/paints you can hold to alot more than it currently is.
i just dont see why it would get people mad. sure its a bummer but its fake money. how much fake money do you need? if you just play the game you make money. sure ya gotta work for it at times but, thats the way it was meant to be played. otherwise they would have just given them all to us at once
In the other FM games, most (if not all) of money glitches were in the selling of cars with mods. I wonder if they were unable to bulletproof the system so they just took it out.
I agree with TehCrazehCatMan, making money in this game is so easy it’s really an unneeded feature. Just last week I completed buying all the cars in the game and I still have 15m left over.

Ive come to the conclusion that this is not f4 mark 2, this is a new fresh take on a great game series on a new consol.
Playing the game and selling cars you dont need becomes obsolete as you can get enough credits by racing,
Whatever the reason t10 decided to remove certain features from the auction house to selling parts you dont need, its not the point of the game …racing thats the point pure and simple,

Perfectly worded that is the point of this game RACING! As you stated you can make a stupid amount of money through racing whether it be career, rivals or even free play! Example I currently have 430 cars and over 38,000,000cr more than I need. No need to worry about getting a small amount back by selling a car back to the game.
Your parents obviously got alot of money because i race in hard difficult and manual w clutch every help off, and whatever i earn i throw in a car, Removing cars, not selling cars in the auction house or selling parts really sucks. Not everybody has the money to buy CR and non stop racing gets reaally Boring.

They are talking credits not tokens.
And sorry but racing games are there for racing. That is how you earn credits to buy cars.

Spewin I missed this when it was posted. For starters you can’t buy credits for the game. Secondly I am 26 with a wife, a child on the way and a mortgage I don’t have money to spend on tokens I just play the game when I can and still earn crazy amounts of credits, so again my point is you don’t need to sell cars in this game.

Its probably cos they want to tempt you to use microtransactions for the tokens to get the car or something; the less cash you get the more tempted you may be.
Wish I found this thread earlier just wasted 1.3mil on a chevy dw12 removed it from my garage thinking i would get my money back but nothing, so no car or cash gutted

Im new to the game and i bought a bunch of cars as ive been going, how do i remove cars from the garage idc about selling them i just dont want them and my ocd is kicking in and im getting irritated by the fact i wont use 4 of these cars
Go into Career, Car, My Cars, scroll to the car you want to remove, hit A, then remove car.

What total crap. I had no idea that I was WIPING OUT a car, I loved. I am new to the game and wanted to drive the car…doesn’t seem to have a very intuitive interface. I feel the game is pretty stupid, I can’t seem to quit the game I have to leave it by backing out of XBOX. Seems like a graceless way to leave the game.
I want my car back.
The more I read the more I don’t care about the credits, if I can’t sell it I should be able to have it back for no charge.

I don’t understand why the developers have stripped away positive features of the game such as selling cars. Part of racing in real life is buying AND selling cars.

I am happy for open wheel racing to finally appear, and the rivals mode has been properly done up with a much needed overhaul.
The fact I can’t do something as simple as sell a car, let alone be told “hey BTW you are literally deleting this car” before I click the remove button is just absurd. I understand the cars that were rewards can’t be hawked off but give me a depreciated value (unless it has podiums under it) just like REAL LIFE RACING.
i find it insulting that people would think that this is all about STREAMLINING racing and having no distractions like auction house and selling liveries is all about helping ME

they do this in Forza 5 and they do it in Horizon 2. Its all about making the game economy flow ONE WAY, that is out of your pockets to Turn 10.
I’m fine with it. And I’m fine with Turn 10 not saying anything because we all know what their final motive is and its obviously $$$ - they’re out to make money.
However I find it deplorable that there are so many apologists who think Turn 10 will reward them for their puerile shill-tastic comments.
Its making people lose their goodwill towards a franchise and a company. Call a spade a spade.
