I am not for the game going so deep as to be more steep than a learning curve than I have already experienced over the years. At this point its not about me understanding tuning, it’s about understanding how Forza’s tuning options impact the way I handle driving in the game… and sometimes that means exploiting things that may not make sense in real life (especially for high HP RWD muscle) but I have learned a ton overall.
Off topic, but I prefer a more visual based tuning interface with graphics and diagrams. Also I would love for one day for deterioration to be emulated in, as in successive wear and tear, perhaps even based on driving style… I shouldn’t be able to shred the clutch as much as I do, and would be fun to have to replace it. Not to the point of annoyance but maybe some sort of mindfulness.
Deterioration and detonation would be awesome in a hardcore mode, mentioned earlier. It would be nice to at minimum adjust boost pressure and maybe cam timing once propper upgrades were done. Maybe I’m the only one on this but I’d like to have an option for straight pipe exhaust and cutoff exhaust at the header.
Its always nice to have more options in any facet of the game but as far as tuning goes i dont see them changing it. I dont know the percentage but if i had to guess id say a good 75-85% of people dont tune their own cars. Making it more difficult would only increase this number. I do believe if they added more options there would be more competition and less “leaderboard” cars but i dont think we will ever see any changes made unless turn 10s “statistics” show it plain and simple.
