Please read below for guidance on which type of topics should be posted in the Troubleshooting Hub Forza Horizon Car Issues category.
In general, the Forza Forums are divided into three sections where the Forza team is monitoring feedback on Horizon game content:
Horizon Troubleshooting for issues where the game isn’t functioning as designed (bugs)
FH5 Discussion for feedback about current content
Suggestions Hub for requesting new features or changes to existing content that is functioning as designed
Previously all car issues have been monitored in the Troubleshooting Hub. Some topics have been moved from the THUB to the new Car Modeling SHUB category. Car issues that relate to something malfunctioning or not working as designed - bugs - should be posted here in the THUB. Issues relating more to requests for improved accuracy should be posted in the SHUB. Below are some examples:
Issue type | THUB Car Issues category | SHUB Car Modeling category |
---|---|---|
Animations | active aero not functioning | Forzavista features, cockpit driver animation |
Audio | missing car sounds, harsh static etc | audio mix, Forza car sounds vs real life |
Cameras | bugs in camera views | cockpit alignment and POV per car |
Lights | mismatched lights | lights on or off, hue, lumens |
Modeling | graphics bugs, clipping, panels not aligning, see-through textures, cockpit gauges incorrect information | Forza body proportions, interior materials, fascia and badges vs real life |
Paint | livery sections not aligning | requests for paintable surfaces |
Performance | malfunctions with handling, performance, physics | nerfs, buffs, specs accuracy |
Upgrades | poor fitting parts | requests to add upgrades and conversions |
We may move topics from THUB to SHUB or vice versa after reviewing the description in the topic. Check your account profile activity to find your previous posts and votes.
When creating a topic in Car Issues, follow these steps:
- English only. See also the Forza Forums Conduct and Rules
- One car model per topic.
- One issue type per topic from the table above. This will mean there will be separate topics on the same model.
- Name the topic [Make Model Year] - [request matching the tag you choose] without brackets. For example “Dodge Challenger '15 - engine audio”
- Provide written detail in addition to images or clips to help voters and the Forza team easily understand the issue - please do not assume what you’re seeing in an image is obvious to someone else. Also include your device type, graphics settings, game mode where the car issue occurs, and steps to reproduce the issue.
- Remember to upvote your own topic so your vote is counted.
HOW WE APPROACH VOTE COUNT PRIORITY
The SHUB and THUB voting areas are one of the methods the Forza team uses to determine which bugs and features are addressed first - but not the only factor. Our top priority is to act on functional issues, with consideration of the number of players affected. However, requests cannot necessarily be resolved in order of vote count due to other factors such as intellectual property, game design, resources, and risk to affecting other game features. These factors also impact the time to review, plan, test, and act on requests, which may result in lower-voted requests being addressed before top-voted requests.
Focusing on the top voted items means the team may consider some items to be too low in prioritization or having too little information to reproduce. In those cases we may move topics to the SHUB Previously Considered Suggestions or THUB FH5 Closed Issues sections. We may also close topics that are addressed by recent content updates to make sure we have the most reliable information directly related to the current state of the game. These steps will help the Forza team deliver the best experience for everyone.
