Ferrari F40 is the only real “rare” car I’ve seen. I’ve seen a few Gallardo’s, GT-R’s, and the like, but I wouldn’t consider either of those rare.
“Rare” depends on what area of the world you’re in. I like the Top Gear episode where Clarkson drives a Mustang GT500 and is quite surprised by the very strong interest he gets from crowds. The Corvette team came right out and said that after making the C6 narrower than the C5 they decide to make the C7 wide again since it is an “exotic” car in Europe. The reasoning being that they made the C6 narrow to appeal more to Europeans who generally have narrower roads than in the US, however, the average corvette owner in Europe considers the Corvette an “exotic” and is willing to put up with the inconvenience of a wide car for the more appealing proportions of a wide low car, hence the wider C7.
Ferrari F430 Scudaria
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
Aston Martin Vantage S
Porsche Carrera GT
Nissan Skyline R32
1932 Rolls Royce
Lamborghini Murcielago

My friend’s cars
- Ferrari F355 F1
- Lotus Exige S (Sold)
- Ferrari Testerossa (Sold)
- Other friends 04 S4 in Amola Yellow, 1 of 20 in the US or existence, but I think it was US
The rarest I can remember would be a Marcos 1800 I saw at a local autoshow last year. I spent quite a bit of time talking to the owner about it, as very few were ever built, and his had a mahogany wood chassis, which was an even rarer option (Only 7 were ever sold in the states, and he claims to own 2 of them).
Definitely never seen anything like it.
I’ve also seen:
Shelby AC Cobra (Original)
Chevy Corvette ZR1
Ferrari F430
Lotus Elise
Several Lamborghini Gallardos
Several Rolls-Royce Phantom sedans
Acura NSX (1st-gen)
A few Bentley Continental GT coupes

A few Maserati Quattroportes
Maserati GranTurismo
Porsche 911 (GT2 or GT3, don’t remember which)
A few Dodge Viper SRT-10s (I’ve actually been inside the new one)
And others which I can’t remember…
Rarest I have seen are from going to Wilton House Supercar Show over the last few years…

Couple of old McLaren race cars at Hillsborough Concours. Don’t remember the names.
Fahrnbacher Racing Porsche GT3 driven by Shawn Price in 2004 and 2005 . ( Shawn lives in my town and he was showing his car off at the Concours )
All I can think of off the top of my head.
Here’s a taste of what they bring out at my town’s Concours.
Bugatti Veyron 16.4- Lamborghini Las Vegas
Lamborghini Reventòn- Vancouver BC
Ferrari 288 GTO- Vancouver BC
There’s more
Ferrari 430s
Shelby GT500 (67)
Ferrari 355
Aston Martin DB9
Maserati GT
A 97 Civic that wasn’t riced
Nissan R34 in America (illegal)
Nissan 510
red delorean
Ferrari 250 GTO
Hendrick Motorsports 25th Anniversary 2010 Camaro SS (only 25 ever built)
There’s been so many more, I can’t remember them all.
Too many to name. Been to berrett jackson auction to many times
Considering I live in Wisconsin and not many people own very exotic cars here. The rarest thing I’ve seen is this guy who goes to my local gym I go to, he drives a Lamborghini Gallardo. And also owns a 458.
And also there is a elderly guy who lives around the corner from me who owns this B-E-A-utiful Cherry red 70 Chevelle with the white stripes. Also has a blue Stingray he is working on.
Other than that I haven’t seen to many cars I would consider rare haha.
Would that Gallardo be Orange by chance? I live in Northern IL, and have seen one with Wi Plates quite often.
I saw the registration T3TRA going down Whitehall, London and it was attached to a McLaren F1. I used to work in the West End and there were a reasonable number of Ferraris and Porsches, with the odd Lamborghini, doing circuits round Bond St and Savile Row. I only see cars ‘out in the wild’ as I’ve never bothered with car shows.
The rarest cars I’ve seen are:
Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport
Koenigsegg Agera R
Pagani Zonda (x2)
Ferrari 458 challenge
Lamborghini Diablo
Although these were all in showrooms! On the street I haven’t really seen many rare cars, I don’t think F430s and Aston DBSs are as rare as some of the cars on
here!
one day i’ll see an F40, one day.
Probably rarest car I’ve seen is a Bugatti Veyron on the highway once. It was pretty cool being right beside it.
