Hi! I played this game in the first weeks, but I left when I understood how disappointed was the online experience, compared with FH2 and FH3 (never played FH1). I’m still amazed how that was not proper communicated, as I watched a bunch of pre-release streams and was on top of the news.
Now that Freeroam Rush has been partially removed fromthe Online Adventure - any hope it would be totally removed, at least for Ranked? - I’m thinking in returning and mostly play Ranked PvP. I tried a few races, but I’m really confused on which cars should I use. Can someone, please, put together some kind of guide or link me to one?
My main doubts are:
Which cars to use depending on type of championship, Street, Dirt, Cross Country, etc; and they type of weather/season?
Should I choose always an AWD or for Street RWD or FWD might be good too?
Is it really important to pick a car with snow tyres for a winter championship?
Might be a silly question but, if I’m playing a Cross country race that is not in the Winter and I choose a car with snow tyres, will my car be slower? If yes, considerable?
I probably have many more doubts that I don’t know yet, as I feel a bit lost. It might be only me but, the game seems very confusing and doesn’t help with the above doubts. I would love to see a much more organized structure, p.e. not allowing supercars competing in Cross Country, be mandatory to fit snow tyres - if it really matters - when snowing and racing off road, etc; emulating more reallity,
The online experience didn’t change much since it released. Freeroam Rush was only removed from Road & Street races. And you have a 25 seconds window of ghosting at the start of every race (not Freeroam Rush though). It’s still an aggressive & frustrating wallride-srubs-infested ramfest.
As a baseline regarding car choice: AWD is basically the best option every time. FWD/RWD are only usable in the correct playlist and with the fitting driving skill because it’s way less forgiving than AWD.
Snow tires = Rally tires.
If you need Rally/Snow tires for a winter tarmac playlist depends on the 3 tracks. Some require snow tires, some not. It’s a matter of experience to know when to choose what.
A-Class Dirt: Hot Wheels Bone Shaker AWD (Rally Tires)
A-Class Cross-Country: Ford Raptor '11, Mercedes Benz X-Class, Quartz Regalia Type D, Chevrolet Colorado ZR2
A-Class tarmac: Hot Wheels Bone Shaker AWD, Shelby Daytona AWD, Plymouth Atomic Punk AWD
