That they are running out of ideas for themes.

At least new speed zones are good, other than that this seems extremely pointless.

Probably nothing if the others are anything to go by, new speed zones is good though as long as they are new and not just a re-introduction of the ones we got a few series ago.
This screen always makes the next series sound more intriguing than it turns out to be.
There could possibly be a new story that’ll mostly be half-baked and almost entirely composed of stolen Wikipedia articles. On the plus side, Rami’s voice actor is one of the better ones, though I’m sure the dialogue is still going to stink.
The new speed zones will be prepopulated with sub zero times posted by AI to prevent cheaters from claiming the top spots.

To the OP, I’m not sure what the story is with Rami, but I wouldn’t waste too much life pondering the meaning of these stories. They are absolutely tragic. The worst part is having to redo them again because of some save glitch or lost progress. I’m just thankful for the mute feature. The one positive I’ll say is that at least they are now putting us in the cars and driving while telling most of the stories, vs. having to listen to a bunch of yak before ever being able to begin the story, so there’s that.

Truth be told, I’ve a measure of sympathy here. It’s racing and/or driving game. You beat the other guy or be ‘the fastest’.
And if you are obliged to do a story with that kind of subject matter, you can’t get really away without doing a cheesy story featuring cheesy characters with cheesy dialogue.
If I was assigned to author a story, it defo would be cheesy as hell. Even if you had Stephen Speilberg (or his Mexican equivalent), he’d struggle. Maybe you could do something like Ron Howard’s Rush? Maybe that’s the ticket. I dunno.
