(Edited to group more liveries in the same thread)

Following a theme, here’s another David Higgins’ #75 WRX STI VT15r, this time in Dirtfish Rally School livery as used in the 2016 Red Bull Global Rallycross series. Again for applying to the #199 car.

Whilst in Dirtfish mode, here’s the Gymkhana Focus in modified Dirtfish Rally School livery (although they actually only run Subarus …). Top picture took a couple of attempts - as you can see!

Aagh, just noticed a small mistake … see if you can spot it

Looking good , & hmm no cant spot it…

Thanks

The arrow supposedly pointing to the front tow point isn’t pointing to it … I completely missed that there was a bloody great yellow tow point sticking out of the front grille!

I’ve previously posted this, but have added it here again to keep my liveries together.

The #75 David Higgins livery for the #199 car for those who haven’t yet got the #75 car yet. Here it is in the trim used on the 2016 Olympus Rally (including correct numberplate, just hide the standard numberplate to see it) for applying to the #199 car. Also made some notes on the editor (see further down).

A terrible accident!

This one shows it chasing the official #75 car as a comparison:

The following two shots show the limitations in terms of resolution of the in-game editor compared to Turn10’s internal one, the first is the rally plate from mine, and the second from the official #75 car (which I haven’t got yet, but I noticed it appeared in game after the last update even though I can’t buy it - have to wait for another #Forzathon, I guess). You can also see that despite the body colour being matte, the offical version numbers show as shiny, so potentially the game could support mixed surfaces (or it’s just an effect of the light angle …).

Interestingly (to me anyway!), the repeating pattern of triskelions (it’s not actually random) on the official car is exactly the same as that on the real car (although not quite in the same position) so I presume they got the original file from Subaru. I’m pleased that mine turned out about right scale-wise, although I couldn’t go quite as dense due to layer limitations.

After doing an imaginary Dirtfish Rally School Gymkhana Focus last week, to keep things real, here are the three cars that the rally school actually uses, the Subaru BRZ (#3), the 2011 WRX STI (the hatchback) (#23) and the 2015 WRX STI (the saloon) (#2).

Rally,

I just took the time to go through your thread from the start… and realised I hadn’t posted in it. I tend not to download lots of Race designs, more of a Fantasy type person, but I’ve got a few of yours including these two Dirtfish Scoobys:

However, my personal favourites of all yours are the Puma Team liveries, Top Class!!

More Subaru rallycross liveries for your delectation …

After an excellent request by Scooby Collins a few weeks ago, I’ve finally finished the 2013 Subaru Puma Rallycross Team U.S.A. liveries. The three team members were Bucky Lasek (the orange and grey car #81), Sverre Isachsen (the lime yellow and blue car #11) and the late Dave Mirra (the yellow and black #40). These all had the Puma Zombie Cat logo on the sides, along with different versions of the skull on the roof (Lasek’s had a flat brimmed hat and long hair, like him!), Isachsen had a Viking helmet, and Mirra had the flat brimmed hat without the long hair (at least I think so, as the source photos don’t show it quite as clearly).

I’ve had to make some adjustments as you can’t draw on the glass, and the rallycross, arch style rear spoiler isn’t an option in FH3. The rally plates are as for the 2013 Munich X Games.

Additionally, I have also done the similar David Higgins grey and light blue #75 car that he used in the 2013 Los Angeles X Games in the Gymkhana Grid event. This still has the skeleton livery, but has his 75 logo on the roof and his stencil style of name with the Isle of Man flag.

I have produced a tune called “Puma GRC” which will up the power, and add the front spoiler and roof vent along with the nearest wheels I could find to the Method Wheels that Vermont SportsCar use. I left the standard rear spoiler as I think it looks better, but you can replace it with the big spoiler as I have built into the liveries the graphics for both the standard spoilers and the optional ones (you’ll see a couple of pictures with the big rear wing below).

Enjoy! Comments welcome.

Can you make this paint job on the #199 Impreza Rally Car?

Thanks.

Yeah, sure. I think that’s the 2015 livery.

Well you live and learn! Useless/useful fact of the day:

I just discovered that when flags are painted on a vehicle, the ones on the right hand side should be reversed, i.e. as if the flag pole was in front. I had assumed it was a mistake on the originals, but of course they were right. I should have reversed the flags next to the drivers’ names.

Oh well, I shall not assume next time!

Further to JaCor653’s request, yet more Subaru rallycross liveries! I can’t guarantee to do requests this quick again!

These are the 2015 Subaru Rallycross Team U.S.A. liveries. Bucky Lasek’s is the orange and white over grey car #81, Sverre Isachsen’s is the blue and white over grey car #11.

I wish there were proper DayGlo colours in the game, you can’t get the varying colours and the extra brightness of DayGlo (which shifts the light energy from light frequencies around the nominal colour so it looks much brighter than you would expect). A proper retroreflective material would be nice too for emergency vehicles and the like.

This time the flags are correctly reversed on the right hand sides of the cars …

UPDATE: The wheels are best upped in size to 18" front and rear to match the real cars, the first picture of each set now shows them with the 18" wheels.

They look great! Thanks. I have more requests. Can you do Mark Higgins’ paint job from the 2016 Isle of Man TT?

Many thanks, I hope you like them. I have the TT Attack car on a list to do and have already collected some pictures already. However, I’m tied up for a bit, so won’t be able to knock it off quite so quickly! Give me a few weeks. That triskellion (the three legged symbol) should be interesting.

Sounds great! Thanks.

When you make the Isle of Man TT paint job, can you make it on the #75 Impreza rally car? Thank you.

OK. I did manage to pick up the #75 at a recent Forzathon, so I can put it on that and probably the #199 too. However, I should also put it on the 2015 WRX STI as that is closer to the actual car, although it’s more different to to the #75/#199 2015 WRX STI VT15r than you might expect. I was hoping for a quick cut and paste for my #75 livery, but realised it wasn’t quite so simple.

Rallyz,
My friend saying thank you doesn’t seem to be comprehensive enough…
You’ve out done yourself in my book and I’m looking forward to getting back into the game and applying these awesome liveries to three especially purchased vehicles.

On a side note my Subaru collection is somewhere in the region of 20+ atm and I intend to outfit where possible the era correct livery on each one, starting off obviously with Colin McRae’s 555 Legacy.
On my MY05 Subaru Impreza I have the standard Solberg No6 colours but I fancy something a little different ( any ideas?)
Best Wishes

Scooby

Nice paints. A little mad though, you ran over my snowman. Lol
