Hi, I want to start sharing some paints and would really like some criticism, I’m a total beginner and I find it hard to put what I have in my head into this game. What some people can do on this amazes me, and I would like to get better.
I will update this OP with new content or updates on current projects. I have a lot of logos to work on, I’m currently using the decals available in game but I have started on some extra Motorsport decals.
My paints will be shared when I’m happy with them, just incase someone would like to drive around with some really pants designs. I mainly like time attack designs, simplistic and subtle touches and dabbling in some original race series designs for standard cars.
Mk3 Harlequin golf VR6, shared.
70 Camaro Z28, this is my first attempt at a special effect decal and this is the best pic I currently have that shows it, more pics to follow. Shared under ‘white tmr camaro’
TMR HRE Evo IX MR complete. Will be shared under HRE Evo shortly. This is one of my favourites that I have in my garage.
Nice Atari logo mate great attention to detail, keep the designs coming…
And the HRS logo looks awesome…
I have a nice '99 VW polo and even in standard 1600 trim its a nice car to drive. My close friend has a 2005 Polo GTI Turbo 5 speed. Last of the true manual cars from VW sadly. No one does paints for them sadly…hint hint lol.
She’s a damn fine driver in it, and took defensive driving course in it to understand it’s true potential lol, or so she said at the time
But I digress …
Please do keep the art coming and ideally sharing it with others.
The Evo looks the part though…will certainly add you to my ‘followed’ list to keep an eye out for the Nossan when it’s done.
They have great lines and beg for some nice, clean but evoke tie art to show off the side views. It’s a shame that the garage pics give a false reading on actual colours when the car hits the Tarmac. Some paints look great in the garage, but a bit odd once they are out on the track, wouldn’t you agree??
Thanks for the coment, i don’t have the time to put into the logos due to work. I have other interests, and my fiancée provides plenty of chores so I just try to do a reasonable job so that they half look like something.
I find the lighting in the garage and even in the fancy house to be quite dark. It’s hard to gauge the the true paint colour because of this. The purple on the Evo looks like a dark blue in the garage, but on the track it’s purple. I find the colours and the darkest and lightest end of the spectrum are most affected by this.
Job done, I’m going to replace the vtcc logo and change the 222 to 01 in a pixel style number. This will be complete for early next week but this is what the car will look like. Tried to keep it fairly simple, added the colour to break up the black and white.
Mate, love the simplicity of this. The use of the black on the sides shows off the peculiar shape of the coupe’ and helps tie the Atari logo into the whole car. The pacman are eating the car up, love it.
I have a limited edition Dreamcast (Hello Kitty Mint Green see-through) and it came from Atari. The car brings back fond memories of that time., I still have the Dreamcast, never been used, still in the bubble weep… If you can grab a good image of a Dreamcast, be great to see that on a car hehehe.
Have been away from the paint booth for a while and been concentrating on some racing. I haven’t finished the Nissan yet, but it is getting new logos weekly for the series I’m racing in.
I had 30mins spare today and made a start on something I have had in the wings for a while.
I love the Ferrari F355, and the day one went tearing past me going full whack I fell in love with the sound of the exhaust note. Capristo are a company that produce the best aftermarket exhaust for this car, if you have 5 mins, go YouTube it and thank me later. So I started a design for the F355 for an imaginary race series, there will be a street style version coming after this as Capristo are a posh street aftermarket company.
This will be getting a lot of my attention this week, the logo is half complete.
