Did PG not have enough time with the car when putting it into the game to record the sound of it properly? I ask because, I was originally under the impression that they spent an aweful lot of time with the car and with Ken to put this car in game and was under the impression that they had full access to his car, including miccing it up to capture the sound.
Instead of sounding how it should: - YouTube
We get a rather downplayed sample that harkens to the likes of the AMG V8s default sound but toned down to a smaller sounding engine (which it is) and an excess of crackles and pops that at times sound good, but for the most part sound like they are placeholders? It’s not a terrible sound sample overall, it’s just pretty far away from how it should sound, the turbo flutters are there occasionaly so some of it is correct.
Is this a bug? Intentional? Or will an update come to address the sound like we got with the GT350R in Forza 6 having the wrong sample? I am only asking because I am certain the devs would of had full access to the car and thus to get the sound we ended up with begs the question of what happened, is it a bug, or is it just a synth’d sound because they ran out of time to record it properly?
If anyone from the sound team could pop into to answer, that would be great, but if not then if anyone else has a theory I’d like to hear it expressed.
Side note, pretty much every other new car added sounds awesome (the TITAN Concept sounds excellent as does the new Subby rally car!) so with the usual excellent sound quality on par with the rest of the new cars, I had to ask with regards to the RSRX.
