Going to buy an xbox one sometimes this week. I was thinking about picking up just the console only version. Does fh2 require the use of kinect to play?
Nope, its not required to play FH2. The only Kinect feature is ANNA, basically your personal assistant/GPS. You can ask her to plot a route to the nearest event, or hub. Or you can ask her what to do next and she will give suggestions. Its a nice feature, but not essential.

its doesnt need it, but voice controlling the gps makes life easier.
Just get the Kinect bundle anyway and ignore all the tinfoil hat wearing nutjobs. We need the tech to be used by developers, and if people dont have it the developers wont bother

Thanks guys. I bought the kinect bundle instead. Now patiently waiting for FH2 to update.
At first I was skeptical with kinect and didn’t like it. For gameplay I still don’t like it but I use it for two major things - skype with my family, and voice commands. I’ve hooked up my tv through the Xbox one and now (for example, when I cook) I can control my Xbox and my TV using my voice.
Other than that, it’s quite useless.
