PTG Ace Ventura's Horizon 4 Liveries (11/30 NEW! F1-GTR MAJOR NEWS SOON!)

Ace’s Paints

Hey all my Forza friends, glad to be back again. I went on a little bit of a hiatus but this year I am living in an apartment and not my fraternities chapter house so I can safely own an Xbox without risking it getting it’s motherboard torn apart by tequila. Anyways, for those of you who don’t know me, I’m Ace. I’m in college now but started painting in Forza during the end of Forza Motorsport 3’s lifecycle. I painted on through Forza Horizon 1 and 2 and Forza Motorsport 4, 5 and 6. I eventually joined on with Pendulum Tuning Group and am honored to be a painter for the team.

I particularly like vintage cars and as such you will see a lot of older models represented on this page. I specialize in race replicas of which I have many available for Forza Motorsport 7 but in the Horizon series I prefer designs that look streetable or classic rally cars. That being said I will continue to port over some of my race paints as I see fit. Keep an eye on this space for more. I’m just getting started but in this thread you can expect an abundance of classic rally machines, a smattering of drift cars, a heap of 70’s style Pro-Stock drag cars and even some modern stuff as well!

Thanks for reading and I’m glad to be back and see and hear from my fellow painters and those who appreciate them as well.

Turn 10 Race Week 1: Magnum Force Dodge Charger

Turn 10 Race Week 2: Fruit Of The Loom Lancia 037

So here is my first post to this thread that will have pictures in it for now.

I’ve been playing Horizon 4 of course. While many of you know me for my vintage racing replicas which will of course be making a comeback, I do prefer to drive street legal looking cars in the Horizon series. That being said the fact that I started the game in the 1969 Charger finally gave me the inspiration I needed to do a paint I’ve been wanting to do for a while.

In addition to vintage racing metal I am rather fond of muscle cars, particularly of the Mopar variety and there was one particular Charger that I saw on the internet that I have wanted to paint for the longest time. Finally, I have done it. This car was powered by a 440 Magnum V8 and owned and raced by a man from Riverside California. This car often cruised the streets of Riverside back in the '70’s and often frequented the local drag strip and drive up diners. Now some redneck has imported it for the Horizon festival!

Here is the Magnum Force Charger

Bonus, Plymouth Superbird

Like I said, I’m a huge Mopar fan. I personally like the Plymouth Superbird more than the Dodge Charger Daytona, so I painted the Daytona to look like a Superbird, complete with all the Road Runner logos and side vent. It is available in multiple colors.

More designs are available already but I’m too lazy to take pictures. Watch this space for more to come soon!

Nice start! I do like the Magnum Force paint, sweet!

Yeah, same here! I like the fact you’d been wanting to paint that for a long time & you’ve finally gotten around to it - I’ve got loads of those :slightly_smiling_face:

Strong start there Ace, love it.

Really glad you’re back Ace. Just picked up Forza 7 about a month ago, had to dig to find your FM7 thread and it was sadly pretty empty and dusty.
When Horizon gave me a BMW M1 in a wheelspin i immediately thought of your map paints. Will we see them? It wears your zipper paint now, so i can show some patience!
Also great job on the Magnum Force, it hits pretty hard!

Thanks my man. I’m always driving that one around haha.

It feels so good to finally cross the car off my list. I have a physical list I usually write out of my next 5 or so ideas. That one was always being written and torn out. Feels good to mark the pen through it.

Thanks Mex! Glad you back around too! Can’t wait to see what you come up with in Horizon 4.

Hey Koiftt! Really happy that you remembered my map paints. As you saw I’ve uploaded a few of my M1’s so far. That being said I have yet to release the map cars as I am in discussion with my team as to whether or not we should save those for prize cars or unicorn cars. Odds are you will be able to see those designs soon. I still have been painting on FM7 and I ought to update that thread. Either way thank you very much, I am glad you like the Magnum Force car.

I must note that I have imported nearly every available livery from Forza 7. That means that I have a lot of designs that aren’t pictured in this thread. You can click my signature to see pictures of these cars as they appear in Forza 7. I will be taking pictures of these cars over time and adding pictures accordingly.

Anyways, on to cars that I have photo’s of.

Lancia Stratos, 1980 Rally Tour Auto De France “LePoint”

Lancia 037, Rallye Monte Carlo “Fruit Of The Loom” Original

Ford GT 2005, Ford GTLM Polyphony Digital, Gran Turismo Spec’

Last but not least I also have an interesting layer group. I know there are a lot of drift-enthusiasts out there and a common theme among drift racers is the “drift missile.” These cars are often missing bumpers etc, I have painted a layer group to place below the bumper line on your JDM cars to mimic the look of a cut bumper. The layer group shows a perspective view of the transaxle and struts. I have yet to share the group but let me know if there in any interest. Here is my test mule car for the kit.

Cheers, Ace

Love the Fruit of the Loom livery. Nicely done!

A++ work man, very nice!

Loving the drift cut bumper idea, I’m going to have to pick that up when you share.

Hi man! Really nice and interesting liveries like always, top work! I’ll visit your storefront asap

Bye

Class as always.
Like me, then with getting ‘shop’ together then haha

More great stuff in here Ace. Keep it up.

I also really like the cut bumper vinyl idea you came up with. Really interesting and a unique idea!

That transaxle vinyl is brilliant, always love stuff like that. Don’t see much faux bodykits these days, guess thats the downside of all the ingame kits available.

Thank you! The still life fruit were a real pain to paint but they look nice so it’s quickly become one of my favorites!

Glad you like it CFunk! Your not the only one and it will be released by tomorrow!

Always love hearing from ya punny! Glad ya like the liveries and I appreciate the patronage

Thank you sir and yes, it’s such a pain in the neck to take so many pictures of so many cars and edit and crop them, then write a bio…ugh.

Thank you Wildcat! Glad ya like the cut bumper. It was hard to shade right but I think it came out well!

Yeah, as much as I love the addition of widebodies it did kill the whole Cusom Bu!lt 9000 scene. I still like doing them and there are still things like the transaxle vinyl that just can’t be done outside of the paintbooth still. I am glad that the idea has gotten a lot of good feedback. It will be released tomorrow.

So first things first, because I needed a cool retro rally car for the winter season and I was able to snag a Ferrari 288 off the auction house for cheap I present you the Pioneer 288. The real rally car was a Ferrari 308 but the 288 was initially developed for the fabled Group B rally class and is similar in shape to the 308 so it is a suitable port.

Next up is a drift missile S13. It’s inspired by Ryan Cooper’s starter Nissan 240 from Need For Speed Pro Street. In honor of the JDM Cut Bumper/Exposed Transaxle vinyl being made available tomorrow.
Search PTG or my gamertag to find the layer group.

Anyways, here is the Japworx S13 Missile.

Stay tuned for more and as always commentary and feedback are welcome and appreciated.

Adios brotendos!

Glad to see someone else enjoy the 288  Love your Pioneer livery, it’s basically the opposite of the one I did, haha.

I’m also quite taken with both the Lancias a bit further up the page!! They both look really nice.

loving the exposed transaxle especially on the s13 ganna have to grab that, tried something similar with a missing wing/exposed suspension on FM2 but never got it looking right but this looks spot on.

Looks like I´m going to visit your Share House Front, great work man! I really like the Pioneer 288. Is that available at the SF or AH?

Sweet Pioneer livery and the cut bumper idea is brilliant.

By the way, thanks for your comments and support for the painter community in this forum; especially new contributors. Your active voice is encouraging and very much appreciated.
