Problems with Fanatec CSL Elite on PC

Hi everyone,

I have some problems using my Fanatec CSL Elite PS4 on FH4 (PC), and I need some help.

I updated the wheel’s firmware and i have tested it on FM7, where it works perfectly.

Today I tried it on FH4, and i had a lot of issues.
I don’t have the handbrake device and, just like other people, I have a problem with the auto engage of the E-brake.

I might also have a problem with the steering wheel: the car won’t turn.
Now, i don’t know if this particular problem is related with the other one, but I absolutely can’t play in this situation.

What can i do to fix this? Is there something i could do?

Do I also need to buy the handbrake device to play this game? lol

I have the non-ps4 csl elite and the handbrake and I am also not able to play. It’s still locked to 100% and when I pull the e-brake the e-brake pressure fluctuates. I was not able to get moving and I am also not able to play.

Playing with a wheel is so important to me that I won’t play before they fix this, so I hope a patch is coming quickly. My early access to the game feels pretty wasted right about now.

It’s particularly infuriating that my wheel worked fine in the demo.

Yep I also have the CSL Elite (PS4) version. Ebrake issue. As mentioned in the known issues thread this will be solved with the ‘day one patch’. The question is: when does this patch arrive. Hopefully earlier then Oct 2? Because there are so many CSL Elite users who bought Ultimate edition to get early access (today) the devs can update this sooner? Thx!

Thank for the support.

I still haven’t found a solution.
I have read a post about copying the demo settings in the final game and i’m trying this way. I’ll let you know if I can fix it.

I hope to fix it without the “day one” patch.

Ok, it doesn’t work at all.

Now it doesn’t let me log in the game.
The sad part is that now Forza Horizon told me “Your profile is invalid. Please contact the XBox Support”.
I’m kinda speechless and I don’t know what to do at the moment.

Please let me know if you find a solution. For the moment I’m unistalling it and i’ll try to log in once i re-install it.

I have the same issue, though I have the handbrake. I can drive if I pull the handbrake the whole time, so it’s just a case of it being inverted. It’s a two second fix for the devs so I don’t know why we have to wait until Tuesday, rather than just issue a hotfix.

Same, my steering is also inverted. Terrible QA

[Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] Same problem here with fanatic csl elite (ps4 edition).

Are u sure that they will fix this problem on tuesday?

@Mod:
How about you tell us about the plans to fix this chaos rather than editing posts with unpleasant content?
All we want is play your game in an appropriate way.
We gave our money to play this game early, and it costs a little more than the regular edition.

So, here is a simple question and I expect a clear, honest answer:
“When will the Fanatec problems be fixed?”

If I pull my ebrake a tiny little bit it will go to 0% but my steering is still inverted.

I found a work around for now, I have a spare pair of CSR pedals from a old Fanatec setup, I plug the CSL pedals with load cell directly to PC via USB then plug the CSR pedals into to Handbrake port in CSL elite base, boot the game up and use the default CSR wheel configuration in the settings, this has worked for me to get racing.

First time actually joining a forum hopefully I posted this right :+1:

I’m glad it worked for you, but unfortunately i don’t have spare pedals lol

Thanks anyway for the attempt

Yep. Same boat. Lucky enough to have an old Xbox controller to play, but still pretty average not being able to use my awesome wheel.

Day 1 patch indeed. Maybe shedding a bit of light on what day 1 means. Glad we all shelled out for ultimate to play early.

This is such bullshit. I don’t want to pay any money to debug the game in a early access phase.

Fix your Fanatec wheel support

I got my CSL PS4 working on PC (Setup: CSL PS4w 918 Rim and V3 Pedals + Shifter + Handbrake (plugged out))

When it’s recognized as “device 1” I have the same invertion problem, but i’ve got the game to recognize the wheel as “device 2” and now at least the wheel and pedals are working.

I first start the PC, then the game and then the wheel, when the game is already running. Maybe you first have to make an individual mapping and then restart the process. Once your wheel is recognized as device 2 it’s working everytime.

Now to the handbrake problem: I can assign the manual gears, but they won’t save (probably also invertion on the shifter). So i saved the handbrake on my 4th gear and now I can finally move!

So no handbrake and manual h shift for now (sequential yes, if you connect them to the pedalshifters (fanatec screen)), but at least I’m able to play.

I hope this also works for some of you guys so you also can play.

Still, in the demo everything was working perfect and the ffb was also better imo.

I was patch notes but my handbrake is still locked up.

There was definitely a patch and the notes definitely indicated the CSL’s handbrake fault would be fixed. Definitely not fixed though.
