Hi there.
Tonight I held my weekly race session with my club, and the 20 or so people in the lobby had a great time.
However, as the host I noticed that setting race weather to Variable brought up an unusually high amount of wet starting conditions, close to 100% whenever I loaded up a new track. I “rolled” for conditions about 20 times tonight, and almost all started wet. Clear skies were never presented either.
While I do prefer the potential for races to go from wet to dry or dry to wet, the starting conditions could do with some more… variability.
I’m reporting this here as I feel it’s a bug rather than a design choice.
Logically there are about 8 versions of inclement weather and 1 version of clear weather.
without a weighted randomisation system you will be seeing an awful lot of bad weather races with the default ‘random’ setting.
(if you are interested - this is the same reason why wires put into a box neatly always come out tangled)
If you look below the surface at virtually every part of this release it’s evident that it was rushed out in a partially finished state to be included in Xbox’s fall line-up and couldn’t be delayed in light of Xbox’s other garbage releases.

That’s my guess too, that Random/Variable has no weighting.

I’ve noticed this in freeplay races too. Variable weather will always involve wet tires, either at the start or end of the race.
I also noticed that in races of 10 laps the weather will always, always suddenly change at the start of lap 5. Never at random times.

I have the same but when the track become dry the AI are driving like they have slick tyres without stop AT the pit . ( Sorry my english his not exceptionnel i Hope you understoud me ^^')
When setting an endurance race with variable weather, the games always set a rainy race at the beginning. I have tried a hundred times and I always get the same problem. It is a bit disappointing that one can’t race with alternating sunny or cloudy weather.
I confirm this. Variable weather should provide random weathers.
Please fix this.
