Anima is my personal fav. Still find it baffling that the game launches without that Longbeach and Monza. They are big misses that’s for sure
Oh gosh, yes!
Way too many RL tracks. I want to see street circuits and fantasy tracks from the Xbox 360 versions.

Thanks to the Track Voting section of the forum we can see that it’s not even close.
My statement about value comes from Fujimi Kaido’s legendary status, number of potential returning players and replayability factor. It would take a lot of time for players to master it, there’d be lots of time spent in time attack and drift sessions. Not to mention just cruising in private/meetup lobbies. And as I mentioned above, it will likely be a popular topic of YouTube videos. Remember all these drift and traffic videos from Asseto Corsa with lots of people asking “WHAT GAME IS THIS?” in the comments? That’s what I think will happen if Fujimi Kaido will be added. It means there’ll be potential to reach new players.
Sure, some people will be hyped about Sonoma but it won’t make the game more alive. I personally would be disappointed if they add it over many of more requested tracks, which aren’t located in the US.
Yeah, you’re most likely correct. Maybe another fantasy track will return because they’re easier to implement than a real one.
I might not be remembering correctly, but I think the Project Cars devs had complained years ago that licenses for some Japanese tracks were more expensive and difficult to get than some others.
Who knows what sort of deals have been made. I think Gran Turismo has an exclusive license for Pikes Peak and doesn’t even use it.
Well, as much as I love Fujimi Kaido and would also love to see it return, unfortunately, that’s just not going to happen. The developers went out of their way to remove a majority of the fantasy tracks at launch, and replaced them with somewhat more realistic ones, and none of the old ones from Motorsport 7 have returned yet. Bernese Alps, Prague, Rio, and Dubai are all still missing and don’t seem to be coming back anytime soon.
The developers, for better or for worse, wanted to make a more “realistic” game to tap into the same crowd that Gran Turismo Sport cultivated. I think a majority of us can probably agree that this did not work, but I doubt much will change anyways. Sunset Penisula was a step in the right direction, but it was a safe step that still aligns with the developer’s vision of a “serious” sim-esque racer.
In the meantime, I don’t see much point in insulting American tracks. It’s not going to bring Fujimi Kaido back any faster.
Also, rant time for me. Since I’m local to the Bay Area in California, Sonoma being excluded was a reason why I didn’t buy the game at launch and still haven’t (besides the bugs, online only aspect, and terrible campaign design, of course). I have only played Motorsport 8 a handful of times during a Game Pass free trial, and I won’t even consider purchasing the game on sale until at least Sonoma is included. Maybe it doesn’t have value to you, but it matters to me.
Also, also, to reiterate, I’d love to have Fujimi Kaido back, as well as Rally di Positano, Sedona Raceway Park, and Camino Veijo de Monserrate. I’ve just long since accepted the likelihood of that is pretty nil.
Just remembered that COTA is in ACC. I gave it a quick try. The sightlines are kind of tricky, but after a couple of laps in the Mustang GT3 I was getting the hang of it. It’s fine.
(yes I replied to myself.)
There is a big list of tracks i would like to see.
Monza
Interlagos
Sepang
Tokyo street Circuit (From original Forza Motorsport)
Rio de Janeiro street Circuit (From original Forza Motorsport)
Alpine Rock Circuit (From original Forza Motorsport)
Imola
COTA
Fuji Speedway
Istanbul Park
New York street Circuit (From original Forza Motorsport)
Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
Red Bull Ring
Algarve
Dubai Autodromo
Zolder
Tsukuba Circuit
And more, but can not be bothered to write more right now
Some bets
Redbull ring
Interlagos
Imola
Unlikely unless Turn10 hires modelers at their offices : Long beach (too much lighting assets for night racing), Fujimi Kaido (too much work for temporary externals)
It’s a crime that Imola hasn’t made it to the series yet. Possibly one of my favorite tracks in terms of flow and it works for so many different levels of racing.
Ive heard about the cost as well, they kept paying for suzuka but that track is a necessity. I believe the additions to this game are going to be more frugal due to them not charging extra.
Another way of covering costs is with engagement. Unfortunately engagement is not this games strong suit. Theyre in a bit of a jam because you need content to drive engagement, but they need engagement to make content.
Although its nice getting a track every other month i think it might be advantageous for them to add tracks in groups, maybe like 3 at a time. It raises the odds of players liking a particular track and it also would make a larger impact to gameplay.
By only adding one track and adding it into the rotation it often gets lost in the mix. If there were 3, it feel like more of a new fresh experience. 3 new tracks to learn, 3 new strategies to create and 3 new tracks to perfect.
Even though i think it would have better results, i dont think the 3 track drop would be possible due to budgets and development resources im general. In the beginning i thought they had a few tracks in hand, but it doesnt seem to have been the case. This track development cycle seems to be the way it is and the way it will be.
Itd be nice to get the fantasy tracks back, but theyre actually more work to bring in. I believe sunset penninsula came back due to how baron the location is, its an oval based track with nothing around it but some palm trees. Prague, Bernese Alps, Rio etc are surrounded by buildings or mountains and large vistas, it would take more work than theyre willing to take on apparently.
Exactly this. If we get any fantasy tracks going forward, it’s going to be the plain looking ones. That’s also why I doubt Long Beach will come back because that’s a lot of level of detail to recreate.
I’d like to see Philips Island, Surfers Paradise, Oulton Park, Donington, Dijon and that track on the side of the mountain in Argentina they closed recently.
I’d like to see them make a stab at some of the tracks from the early twentieth century that are now extinct. Bales of hay, lots of danger and all of that.
But I suppose it’ll be COTA and the Red Bull ring and some other fantasy tracks and then they’ll call it a day I guess.
Long beach was laser scanned and was a recent addition, its almost guaranteed to be in the game eventually. Sonoma has been in forza the longest out of the missing tracks, but it was updated in fm5, so should still be in the works. I also think the le man Bugatti circuit will be added as it was also scanned and a third of the track is already in the game.
I think long beach will release with an indycar in its update and i think sonoma will release with nascar in its update.
I found it amazing that Bugatti wasn’t in from the start as an alternate to Le Mans. Just bizarre.
It is bizarre, but its also something that can be added later in this live service game of theirs. I dont think its coincidence that this many tracks were left out from fm7 and they are the only ones being reintroduced besides sunset peninsula.
Next up is Bathurst in December, that leaves Cota, Long beach, Monza, Sonoma and Bugatti. Going by a track every other month that would get us to next October and possibly the end of support.
Love how you act like you work at turn10 , when turn10 on the forums never said it wouldn’t return . When I asked they said there’s a big possibility fujimi will comeback it’s literally the most anticipated /most wanted map.
I’m expecting:
●Monza
●COTA
●Sonoma raceway
●Long beach
●Sedona (legacy track)
●Fujimi kaido (returning as a layout for hakone GP circuit)
●Adding more layouts for current tracks
●imola
I’m hoping for those tracks:
COTA
Long Beach
Monza
Motegi
Sonoma
Tsukuba
I don’t know which track will go first…
I don’t think we’ll get an actual new to Forza track next year. There are still so many ones of past games missing that should be easier to bring back.
I would root for a return of Monza and Sonoma.
