Im doing the featured builders cup, and I am now at the 1978 Porsche #78 MOMO 935/78 race of 10 laps at Silverstone.
And 1st place goes for about 2.01 minutes; top 10 for about 2.05 seconds. I cant get faster than 2.09.50 seconds.
I admit that I am not the best driver, and this car is quite hard to control (yet, it is quite fun to drive), but I beat all the previous races with the same difficulty.
Here is the video of me driving, would staying on suggested line 100% of time really give me extra ~10 seconds?
Do you have any clear problem with my driving here?

Yea… means it is me then
Can you please share your wheel settings? Maybe I am limiting myself with my wheel settings…
I’m on controller so can’t help with that I’m afraid.

I actually have road feel at 20 now on a DD, this was my csl elite belt settings. Rest is the same.

Hmm… I think I like your wheel settings. Thanks!
I did manage to shave off couple seconds, finished 20th with 2.07.621 best lap time.
But it feels so strange. I do wonder if Turn10 has changed something, maybe now they dont anymore set these races for stock tune, but more like tuning is now unavoidable…?
What feels strange about it. I understand the wheel settings better than most. I do run my settings outside of steering alignment quite low to limit noise from affecting the wheel v when i don’t want it to.
Tell me what’s weird about it, and i can poetically direct you to the settings to adjust to your preterence.

Oh no, I didnt say it about wheel settings, but about those timings I have to reach, but can’t
I understand that tuning car might help (you cant upgrade car in this race), but I just dont want to do it, and usually it worked - I could win races with stock tuning on 7th or 8th difficulty…
As to your wheel settings, they feel good - I still have to get used to it a bit, but its def better than what I had.

You can upgrade the car - you just have to do it outside the event itself. The upgrades will then carry into the career event.

Yeah, it’s a bizarre “feature” that T10 apparently think people won’t want to upgrade race cars so take away the option in career but you can still use upgraded ones if you’ve already done so:

tune looks bad, gearing looks bad, shifting looks bad, you need to shift later with that car.

Ok I did some testing on the MOMO and R class cars are very tune sensitive (for the build it has) as I just worked out.

So tune is about 5sec per lap and build is about 5 sec per lap on silvertone.
Spa wr guy has same time as me but with stock build.
He is about 4 sec faster from skill
He is about 2 sec faster from the tune (for the build)
He is about 6 seconds a lap slower from the build.
