Porsche cars and others found in update files.

I’ve been thinking about this, and this occurred to me. The 914 has a VW badge, as you can see:

It was also co-marketed with VW.

And what very large German brand is in this game, likely because of a certain scandal? VW, and all forms of advertisement about it.

Something tells me that for this Porsche Expansion Pack, when and if it ever comes, the 914 will not be in it because of this.

“Why not just take the VW badge off then?”

Technically that’s not a truly accurately modeled car then. And the VW badge is somewhat [in]famous for being on that car. Then again, they seemed to have no problem removing SS badges…

the SS badges were removed because of the licence with Chevrolet which instructed them to do so to be in line with their global marketing…been brought up so many times why the SS badge is removed from Forza games …there’s a whole thead on it somewhere

I’ve seen this mentioned lots before, any proof? Like an official statement from T10 or GM to say such? Or is it just based on an assumption? Because from the Gran Turismo sport footage the Camaro SS they feature still has all the SS badges in place, therefore it does not seem like it is a GM policy instead more of a Microsoft/T10 policy.

This is the only official statement there is:

I really hope this information is being misinterpreted or something, having spent over $100 on the game that doesn’t include the MR2 but will eventually feature the Mustang Ii, the Gremlin and Pacer is going to be really disheartening.

If you spent $100 expecting the MR2 to be added at a later date, you set yourself up for disappointment.

I paid $100 to own the Horizon 3 ultimate edition and Blizard mountain, I never said I expected anything to be added. What’s disheartening is the inclusion of three cars that represent the darkest era for the domestic car industry, three cars that are largely considered some of the worse/ most hated cars of all time while many great sports/ drivers cars go ignored. While I understand the desire to have a balanced representation of the auto industry’s offerings, with a relatively small car list I think it’s a fair argument that Horizon 3 is a little heavy on the gimmicky throw away car side.

I wonder why nobody has used his version of Forza Horizon 3 to examine the game engine and how the physics work: for example how damage percentages on impacts are determined, how the Drivatar programming works and all of the minute variables in the car and terrain physics. It could really help us understand how the ForzaTech engine works.

I’ve been thinking of the same thing. Could that version have been reverse engineered. It would of course been against some law to after that disclose information on the lP.

Either way. I actually cant wait to drive the Porsches around. I wonder if it still will take months.

Only the first year of the 914 had VW Badging, after that it only said 914 on the rear panel and Porsche on the engine cover with no crest of any kind on the front. However the car in the game is the 914-6 and it was built entirely by Porsche with a Porsche engine.

Oh please no, not again! [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]
I start to believe the bosses at Turn 10 are shareholders in Porsche on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
For such a quality game as Horizon 3 (the best so far), another quality DLC such as Blizzard Mountain (or Storm Island, FH2) would have been a great addition.
I bought the season pass. I hope I won’t get an anti-climax (cold shower) seeing a “Porsche” DLC appear being the 2nd installment…

18 leaked Porsche’s cars. Some of them were playable during Dev Update. So so… Big Pack = Expansion.
