Almost everyone knows that if any car manufacturer can nail the driving position in a car, it would be Porsche or Ferrari.
The 2023 Porsche 911 Dakar/Rallye is based on the same 992 chassis that is used by the rest of the line up.
When compared to the GT3 RS, which has a wonderful cockpit view in game and one of the most perfect driving positions of any car, the Rallye has a ridiculously close cockpit camera view. It is just as bad as the cockpit view in the 2019 911 Carrera S.
It’s so close that you cannot tell where the car is placed when driving and which direction you are in. As an offroad sports car, you really need to know where you are driving in it.
Please fix the terribly close cockpit camera view in the 911 Rallye and bring it in line with the 2023 GT3 RS which has a great cockpit camera view.
The steering wheel needs to be visible to place your car when driving and the driver’s side mirror should be partially visible without moving your camera. If you cannot see more than half of your steering wheel, you know that’s a terrible view.
This car is larger than a Miata and yet it feels like you are in a Miata and not a 992 Porsche due to how close and cramped the camera view is.
The Rallye is now the second 992 Porsche model after the Carrera S to have a terrible cockpit view.
