I went from ps5 to Xbox based on 2 games I wanted to play. Forza and Indy.
We know how bad Forza turned out, but now the promising Indy game, I could of got on ps5.
I’m actually a bit annoyed., and this is just a mini rant at this point. There’s plenty of articles about this ATM, but frankly I think Xbox is in the 5hit.
I think the fact Spencer didn’t deny the rumours means they are true, and this will be the last Xbox console generation. Xbox Series has been an unmitigated disaster and it looks like Microsoft is finally tired of subsidising it.
Microsoft owns dozens of game studios,
but with Xbox’s market share so far behind Nintendo & Sony,
they probably can’t sell enough games on their own platform to get a good ROI from their studios.
…And even after going multi-platform,
they probably still won’t learn the same old lesson that doesn’t seem to have sunk in yet after all these years: they’ll never do well in gaming without good games.
Microsoft stands to gain far more by bringing Forza Horizon to PS5. They’d absorb quite a few of the more casual GT players and would effectively kill any possible Sony plans for an FH competitor.
All I’ll say about this, though, is there are some people in the Xbox community who must be having a really, really bad week in the wake of this news, lol.
I wouldn’t say that I have a bad week because of that, but I for sure regret having hundreds of games from the MS Store when a lot of them are on Steam (and I don’t count the likes of Forza, F1, Fifa, etc.)
Do you want to see the game fail or are you willing to give them a chance to sort it?Just curious.
Although im replying to you this is a general question for anyone so dont take offence.
I haven’t played this game in weeks. Did exactly one race of the C-Class open series at the start of the latest update, then promptly turned it off. I just can’t be bothered with the same stupid nonsense anymore, and especially not for the quality of the content being offered.
Do I think this game deserves a shot at redemption? Heavily against my better judgement, yes. I really hope and would like to believe that Turn 10 finally got that proverbial Come-To-Jesus sit down and had it hammered into them exactly how close they are to being well and truly finished. And with that knowledge in mind, they are going to go forth and deliver absolutely nothing else but banger after banger after banger for updates from now until end-of-life, and they are never going to let something like this happen again.
That’s what I wish would happen, anyway. As they say (in more direct terms), wish in one hand and do something else in the other, and see what fills up first.
If they’re not going to do what it takes to pull this game back from the brink, then the game needs to get spartan-kicked off the cliff and go down in flames. And from that, massive and ruthless change needs to wash over Turn 10 to make sure that Forza Motorsport 2023 is one of those lessons that is never forgotten. The simple fact of the matter is, the game is about to get a lot harder for them, and there is no scenario in existence where Forza Motorsport 2023 wins in an even more direct fight with Gran Turismo 7. That’s a fight where the aftermath is just a funeral with a picture of the deceased, because there’s not even enough of the body left for identification.
We’ll see how things shake out, but as I noted a week or two earlier, Turn 10 seems determined to ride the zepplin all the way to the firey crash landing.
