PG has always been careful to avoid having players treating the game like Carmageddon and mowing down pedestrians. So NPCs are always safely tucked behind barriers.
But you can’t have barriers lining the sides of all roads, that would look unrealistic (except during a race event) so the compromise is just having little pockets of NPCs in special fenced-off areas.
Yes, it does look odd, especially in what should be busy area like downtown Tokyo, but that’s the choice the devs have made.
Makes total sense exect for the fact that in FH3, they used bollards, bushes, trees, plants & advertising boards as undamagable barriers to fence off the walking-around-town-Npc’s.. didnt look out of place or odd but made the surfers paradise feel more alive than FH4 & FH5..
As they have clearly taken alot of inspiration from previous horizons along with players feedback, was hoping the “life” of Surfers Paradise would have been brought back with enhancements..
Its not a deal breaker, i mean who actually notices it when you go screaming past at 150mph.. but its a nice touch i was hoping to see a return of
I had this on my mind and was going to mention it too. Horizon arcade/Forzathon has to be in the game. Players absolutely loved this game-mode in Horizon 4. It shouldn’t take too much not to butcher it like in Horizon 5. And it ties in perfectly with features like the instant/ no loading screen car meets. For as long as the lobbies aren’t broken ofc.
Looks like $60 USD if you’re on GP, to include the usual early access, welcome pack, VIP, car pass & “2 future expansion packs”. Still pricey, particularly given the recent GP price point increases, but I plan to go with Premium as usual nonetheless, given what I’ve seen so far.
NGL, looks like a lot of significant improvements all around & possibly the best map we’ve had to date in terms of size & complexity. Customization, progression, achievements, basic gameplay all seem improved & structured in a more suitable manner than we typically have had. Hopefully the character interactions and cut scenes follow this trend. I guess we’ll see first hand fairly soon given that release date.
So for now, dōmo arigatōgozaimasu PGG…looking forward to this next chapter…
They could make them run away like the chickens and other animals. Or if we would hit them they could just make it so that we clip through them.
In Midtown Madness (which is also a game by Microsoft), the pedestrians would run away and lean against buildings. If you scraped the walls with your car (yes, I did try) your car would clip through them.
I’d like new car features, like turning your headlights on or off.
Maybe the ability to turn windshield wipers on or off too?
Could we walk around in these car meets to look at other people’s cars?
It’s not much of a feature, but it feels wierd with some cars infotainment screens just being turned off. I’d like if they all had something lit up on the screens.
Better driving physics would be nice.
Not sure if it counts as a feature, but FH1 had Factory made body customization on some Hondas. For example the 2012/13 Civic Si coupe that was in it had the option to add the HFP aero (lip kit) kit to it. Hopefully cars like the 2023 Civic Type R can have the Mugen lip kit, or the 2018 (hopefully my real-life car wasn’t removed) Civic Type R can have the Mugen lip kit as well.
I had more on my mind earlier, and now that I’m here typing this, I’m forgetting. Lol.
Looking forward to the first 10 minutes gameplay! (If PGG wants to release it before early access.)
Also, 1 question:
What are the loyalty rewards for FH6?
Gaas/playlist info if applicable
Auction house present? Alternative option?
Garage limit - along with tune/livery limit?
How different are the driving physics compared to fh5? Was there much input from t10/fm8?
I’m sure there’s more but that should do for the moment
Edit:
Video modes on xsx - 4k60/1440p30 with RT/40fps balanced?
As the lead game on Xbox are you pushing the hardware or is that saved for the ps5pro ?
