Recognized the ancient car model the moment I first unlocked the Plymouth Barracuda Formula S in Forza Horizon 5.
Another sad classic muscle car model. I’m unsure whether the FH5 version was scanned and modeled or the same on form FM2.
The model has glaring flaws that cannot be mistaken when compared to the IRL vehicle.
From the actual length and width of the wheelbase to the silhouette, the in-game car simply does not look good. Here is why:
- The taillights are incorrect in size, shape and width. They appear very square and thin compared to the actual Barracuda’s curved and wider shape
- When observing the car from the side view, the distance from the doors to the rear wheel arch is shorter than the actual car.
- From the side view, it is clear that the shape and curvature of the roof and the roofline is inaccurate. The IRL car has an unmistakable 2+2 fastback look.
- The rear window glass incorrect in shape and curvature when observed from the side and rear view. Smaller and flatter than the IRL car.
- The sloping roofline is abrupt and short. And the side windows are also short in width from front to back compared to the actual Barracuda.
- The lower piece of the front bumper - under the steel guard , is not only inaccurate but also closed with no air vents.
While the Barracuda can easily fool many when compared to something like the 1969 Camros SS or the Chevelle in FORZA, it is in serious need of a laser rescan and remodel as the general shape of the vehicle is incorrect and that rear glass is a dead giveaway of all the inaccuracies.
Requesting to rescan and remodel the 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S.
