Please test and critique my tune - S800 Nissan GT-R '12

I normally grab my tunes from the many awesome tuners on the forums and beyond, but tuning is something I’d like to start dabbling in. I tried my hand at the gt-r black edition. I think I have it decently tuned, but I know it can be improved - just don’t know where and how. If you guys could give it a test drive and provide me with some constructive criticism it would be awesome! Just search for TheGodfather308 for the 2012 Nissan GT-R in S class. Thanks, and please be honest with me!

Ill try it. I have the same car in S class. The more info you can give on the file the better…Class, tune name, description. etc., it makes it easier to find the tune

Thanks! Its in S class, and i named it something like S800 grip/accel. It should just come up if you do a “creator” search for my gamertag though.

Keep in mind that I am not the fastest guy in Forza. Probably not the fastest guy in this thread but I went out and tested your tune at a couple of different tracks. To be honest, I liked the tune overall ,there were a couple of small things that I noticed. I took it to Bathurst first and realized about 20 seconds in that the car is running sans aero so Bathurst was probably not the best track for me to test it, especially in S class. So, I went to Daytona GP and came within a half second of beating my PB there. I probably could have beaten it but the car lost some of its power in the big turn coming into the frontstretch (turn 4 for us rednecks that like nascar). Changing you final drive gear would fix that but if you ever plan on putting aero on it I would do aero first. I went to the nurb next and again missed my PB by about 2 seconds this time. I think here again aero and a higher final drive would have helped. I liked the tune though and if you are just starting out with tuning yourself, you are miles ahead of me when I first started. Oh, by the way, I took mine out after that. It’s not quite as fast as yours but handles a little bit better IMO of course. I shared the tune if you would like to give it a spin. Feel free to tell me what you thought about it. Its better suited for the nurb which is where I tuned it at but will probably be ok on a big track. Name of the tune is S class nurb

Thanks so much for running my tune and providing feedback! Yea I guess the no aero thing is a pretty big problem. That might explain why I wasnt getting the turn in that I wanted no matter the adjustments I made. I’ll probably do better with a different build for the car that includes aero. I just checked out your tune and I really like it. It had better control and I was able to post a better time at lime rock with it, 53.891. I think I had a grip mod on there though. Thanks again!

Anyone else that has downloaded and tried my tune want to critique it? Forza told me a lot of you tried it…

I quite like the tune, very nice for a beginner tuner. The car has some understeer that I feel could be corrected but the major thing imo is the stability. Driving around Rio I was getting mad air and the car was just being overall unpredictable. I felt like it was bottoming out a bit on the ring a bit too. I guess that is due to the lack of aero. Mainly it was unstable through elevation changes and rough surfaces.
Honestly though this car is pretty good, well done!

Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for testing it out!
