Playing Forza 5 multiplayer, with steering-wheel, and chatting with friends...

So… The Thrustmaster TX steering wheel doesn’t have a connection for the XBox One headset… So how does one chat with friends while playing Forza 5 in a multiplayer race? Do I have to buy a different headset or something? Is there an XBox One headset that will plug directly in to a USB port, perhaps? I’m sure someone here has figured out a way to chat while playing multiplayer with a steering wheel… I would appreciate a hint or two on how to set that up…

Thanks,
L.

You have to plug your headset into the xbox one controller. Due to power saving, if the controller is running wireless (i.e. on battery), it will go to sleep eventually thinking you aren’t using it. If you connect it to the console via USB it will be fine. The full procedure is (from their Facebook page):

  1. Plug Headset on your gamepad
  2. Turn On the console with your gamepad
  3. In console menu, SIGN IN to your profile with the gamepad
  4. Launch the game
  5. Inside the game, press “A” on your Steering Wheel
  6. SIGN IN to same profile with your Steering Wheel
  7. With your Steering wheel, you can now access to MULTIPLAYER and chat with the Headset even if you play with a Steering Wheel
