Fine portrait work - looks great!
Finished this up the other day…
Had some friends that wanted to run their tune with it, so I put it up yesterday. It was a long haul getting through my first portrait in a few years. I’m not overly excited about how the background (the person to the left in particular) turned out, but I just plain ran out of layers to do more to it. Hope you all like it, it’s definitely my best effort put forth with the replica side too. I spent a good amount of time trying to get those Martini lines right!
We also have a B class tune floating around the crew that’s been a monster at Long Beach, I’ll see if I can get someone to share it.

He was a rally car driver from the 1980’s, he and his co-driver died in a crash at Tour de Corse in 1986. The cars were overpowered to demanding physically and mentally for the drivers…and there was a few very tragic accidents during that era. Theirs was sort of the last straw and ended Group B class racing.
Ahhh… the Elin Volvo! Won’t be possible for us to top a collab like that now

The WRC Golf is looking very nice mate, I have to say that the vent made me double take, I really really like that vent! That being said this is an excellent start to the Legends of Rally collection. I can’t wait to see more, as for this one, gonna download it ASAP. That portrait is amazing!

Here’s my latest… Been having fun playing with a few Evo 8 tunes so I figured it was time to revive my Hipermax paint from FM5. With the newly changed front aero, I had some major reworking to do on the front end. The front end logo is a huge pain as any one that’s attempted this paint in the past knows… I think I did a decent job lining it up as it likes to warp the opposite way its supposed to go. I also had an incorrect HKS website on the rear and didn’t have the HKS mountain logo on my previous paint. I’ve also adjusted the HKS lettering that hides behind the Hipermax logo on the sides to be more accurate. Lastly, I removed the MOJO Factory logo and put in the HKS(not a fan of paints with others names/garages on them, so I figured I shouldn’t put them on mine anymore)
TL:DR: It’s not just another quick transfer

Evo’s great, the bodywork on the Golf’s brilliant… But the Delta is on another level entirely. A fitting tribute to a dearly missed rally driver and a foregone era of racing.

Motivated by the new DLC, I decided to get a head start on a few once they were revealed the other day. I was hoping to get 4-5 done, but was happy to get two off(a bit more realistic) today before work tonight. So here we have a simple little classic roadster, an infamous record holder and a WIPski.
1969 Datsun 2000- Classic Roadster
1977 Holden Torana- Peter Brock HDT Marlboro 1979 Bathurst winner
(stock hood in picture HIGHLY recommended)
And the WIP… only got a few minutes into laying it out before having to call it quits.
That Evo is looking awesome mate, love the Genki Racing Project logo.
Really liking the new stuff, already grabbed the bre style Datsun paint. Want to grab the other 2 next time I’m logged on
love the Holden and will follow the Lancia cause lets be honest, the original paint is hideous haha

Loving the wip Lancia mate! That is going to be great. The Datsun is rather nice as well and you did a good job with the HDT Torana.
yeah…so… that Lancia aint happening, at least not from me. Hopefully someone else can manage the overlapping/glitching/poorly thought out paintable areas. I couldn’t even bring the hood stripes to the edge, or even close to the edge without the lines magically making a guest appearance on the front aero. That alone ruins huge amounts of accuracy needed and counts me out on this one. Maybe I’ll try to dig up a more suitable design or make my own line design with the Martini logos sans-glitch areas.
If anyone wants to have a go at this one and wants a head start I can share all my logos… I’d suggest saving the headache though… lol
I’ve also tried to put the stripes on the car. And that gaves me headache. But I’m surely not as good as you, so if you can’t do it, I probably can’t either. It’s bad because I like the martini car.
