Picked up Horizon last year - was my 1st intro to Forza, i didn’t know about the paint/decal side of it and was blown away by some of the designs people have created. I don’t have the time/skill to do photorealistic images and replica race liveries but i do like rats and rust buckets etc so started making some more in Horizon2.
So far I’ve done paintjobs for a 69 Camaro, Ford F-100 and a Datsun 510 , all available to share , keywords: rusty, rat, Pigpaints
ugh i need to learn how to make rust look good 
I like how you say you don’t have the skill to do photorealistic images and yet you have some of the best looking rust designs I have seen. I have no idea how you make these look so real, but believe me, you have the skill! Keep up the great work!

Thanks, well i meant I’m not able to do photorealistic images of people, scenery, animals etc.
i mainly use the Splat shapes to make rust or build up large areas with layers of the random patchy decals from vinyls 3 pallet.
Been making some logos/stickers, used them to make a rat-look civic, now finished/ uploaded, key words: Rat look Rusty Pigpaints
i love that civic, defo gonna give it a try.

And if possible, I’d love to see the Renault a110 barn find done up similar to how it’s found (blue with race decals but then rusted up and peeling etc). Don’t have much to offer back unless you need tunes, but they’ll definitely get some useage especially the Renault.

Yeh love Celica GTs so will definitely be doing a paint job for one soon, not sure about the Renault , maybe later after I’ve done some other cars i want to have a go at!
Hey man I love the Rat Rod look that you have given to these cars, I’m just wondering if you would consider doing a detailed tutorial on how to put rust on cars like you have in your car designs, I have been trying to make my General Lee into a rusty version since Horizon 1 came out and I haven’t had any luck with it, if you could help a fellow designer out it would be great.
hey thanks , i would only do a tutorial if i could do properly with a video and unfortunately I’m not able to just now sorry as don’t have much free time or capture card etc. I don’t really have a defined method yet either, i just keep layering up small splats and experimenting!

cheers, yeh adjusted the transparency on some layers where i wanted to dirty up and age some paint or decals

Metallic turquoise with a little rust and red wing,
Matt purple, rusty bonnet red wing and decals ,
Absolutely love the rusty paint designs, using the datsun one right now and with it being at 995pts it makes it seem like such a sleeper. Anyway do you take requests? I would love to see something like this done with the e28 m5.
