Hey guys, I never did this in forza 4 for my paints , but I now see the benefits of having my designs showcased. So decided to start this thread.
Next to a lot of the designs I see from other painters, I admit I feel a little intimidated, dang there is some real awesome painters here. Anyway most of my cars are just something I see in my head and try to put on a car, and some are pretty odd. so I don’t ever expect my designs to fly off the shelves so to speak. but I have made many designs in FM4 and most were well received.

Just been informed by the Boss lady , it is time for shopping. will post some cars this evening. and hopefully get the rest up tomorrow.

ok here is the first car I did in FM6, kind of a joke for a buddy, he drives for this cab company.

Next car is my David Bowie tribute car. kind of a rush job, think I will redo it at some time but I still like it

Ok this next one is buy far the crowd favoured one, I think it is up to like 250 d/l’s but I can’t say for sure cuz I tried to redo the a car with a different paint base colour, and well it switched to that one and now i can’t see how many have been downloaded. anyway here is my hurst/olds 442 design.

Next is the Dodge Ram truck. thought it would be cool to do a rally truck, for some reason or another lol

Next one is a redo of the Canadian cab car. thought it would be cool to switch the colour from green to blue and make it like a full race car. using the cab company as a sponsor
again the 03 audi RS6

ok this next one is a car I did because i wanted a sponsor for the ram, and found this car. it was going to be a race replica, but the proper car is not in the game, I could not place the decals in the same place, and all the pics I found of the car I could not read 2 or three of the sponsors. Also I could not do the Michelin logo so switched to toyo tires. still think it is a good design though, but more race inspired than replica.

And for now the last car I did a Domino’s pizza car. did this one in Forza 4 and replicated it in 6

ok for now that is pretty well all the cars I have shared in forza 6, I can tell you I have two AMC Javelins and a AMC rebel in the works. personally I am thinking the AMC rebel is the best car i have ever done. (but I may be biased lol)

Don’t worry about other painters, you start thinking your paints are not good enough and prob end up not painting again

no I don’t think I will stop painting, I was just saying I know there is a lot of painters here that are better. not that mine are not good. I am happy with each and every car I put out. If others like and download my designs WOOHOO that’s a bonus.

Two new cars today, they are my week 33 livery contest entries. both are AMC cars, first the AMC Javelin… I based it on one of the worst tasting gums ever, but some reason even though it did taste like soap I still liked it , go figure lol.

Ok next is an AMC Rebel, (seems i was on an AMC kick this week lol) anyway based it on Darkside of the moon by pink floyd. hope ya’s like it

search fantasy33 for my pink floyd car, or race33 for the thrills gum javelin.

ok for what ever reason a couple of days ago I spent like 3 hours watching YT vids on painting in forza 4 and 6. I forget the person that put up the vids name but I really want to thank him, cuz this pink Floyd car is one of I think my best cars, including the ones I did in forza 4. I will do YT history search and put his name here. most of what he showed I knew already, but the blocking out method I used on the chrome paint was cool, and was why I did this car. I know that his Vids would be real helpful to new painters.

Thanks Alec, feed back is always appreciated. And i finally got the Javelin up , boy was I mortified when after I posted it a friend pointed out i misspelled the main sponsors name. What DOH!!! moment that was lol.
Actually been using Phred Zeppelin as a online name since the old BBS days. like before the internet.

Hey good people. I am at a bit of a deadlock with a car. I was doing up the javelin and needed a tune that did not remove the back wing, as I had put logo’s on it. All the tunes I found removed it and put a bigger one on. anyway I took some pics and was going to post them in the tuners lounge asking for a tune. It was then I realized I needed a major sponsor for the car, and the Thrills javelin was born. That left me with the original paint scheme I was working. I still like it but still need a major sponsor. so here I am asking for idea’s. So any ideas for this car?

And with the other painters you have to remember everyone has different styles and tastes. Just because someone does some crazy elaborate paint doesn’t mean everyone will want it. I like my cars simple and classy

google “AMC Javelin Racing” it will bring up the race cars, have a look around those and see what was used. SUnoco the obvious one but maybe…

One thing that many designers fail to do that makes a great effort average which would help… do custom numbers!!! If you changed the standard numbers you have to a custom vintage number 66, it would be MILES better. Just a suggestion…

ok now a lotus elise I did this car in FMS4, so this is really a redo, however watched a youtube video on this so copied lemondrop 45 (I think that was his name anyway, will check and edit later) Hope yoou guys like it. any feed back on this would be appreciated.

Well finally got around to making a sig for the forums, what do ya’s think?

now if I could just figure out how to center it. each time I use the center feature it sez illegal code, any suggestions?

Happy Canada day every one.
So 4 new cars today a lambo (just kind of a joke) a ford transit van, also whimsical design. a GTR black edition and finally my 2016 Canada car.

So this car I did for the lambo only photo contest as a joke, never did post it though.

So this snail wins the lottery and goes to buy a lambo, he asks the sales man if he can get a custom paint job, the man replies yes he can, so he asks that the car be painted bright green, not a problem sez the sales man, further he asks for big yellow circles on the hood roof and both side doors, Sales man sez ok if that’s what you want, Then the snail asks to have a great big S in all the circles. perplexed the salesman sez “why would you want that?”
the snail sez all my life everyone had teased me about how slow I am, now when I go by they will all say Hey

Ok now the transit van, scrolling around on the net one day found this it was an ad campaign by a brewery in the states. I did find some one did a van like this in forza 4 not sure if anyone has done it since.

And my final car my 2016 Canada day car I used the 2015 Dodge hellcat SRT. Hope ya’s like and I hope I did my country proud.

hey all, as I said in OP. never made a paint booth thread in FM4, and thought that really hurt my visibility, so started this thread to increase my exposure.
Well the proof is in the pudding so to speak… Today I hit a kind of interesting milestone.

My hurst/olds 442, hit 442 downloads. and that is at least double my total downloads in FM4, and my 57 Bel Air is also doing well at 204 downloads. I know that compaired to most here that is a pretty small number, but I am happy with the numbers, even if most of my designs are not even out of single digit numbers.
I know I have not posted anything new lately but man it gets hot in my Apt. by 1pm in summer so not been in the booth for long, and been mostly just working on logo’s but new work is coming soon.

Ok So I am entering a new race league this month, Xbox race league check them out on face book still time to sign up for the next series. anyway they are doing a Super V8 series and me and my nephew signed up for it using the the Holden, so I decided on a Valvoline sponsored design, so I did a quick work up of a rough draft and sent some pcs to my nephew for him to see, then I got all proud and went and posted the pics on FB to show of my skills. While looking at the pic I was both mortified and and LMAO at it. why is that phred pray do tell. well they say a picture sez 100 words so here look at this and tell me what you think.

Now this car is week 37 race livery winner, has 540 d/l’s 17 like and 150 uses. you would think with that many eyes on the car some one would have said something like.

“YO Phred Dude yer missing an L there bud!!!”

So went and looked yep all the VG’s and logo’s I did were the same. guess i am heading back to fix this mess up now.
