Best way to start is flick through the presets thend adjust settings from there. Takes a lot of practice I’ve been taking photos in forza games since FM4

Post up a few of your shots to give us a baseline of your skills and style; then we can help you adjust from there.

Quick assessment question: What is focal length and/or field of view?

A great advice and tip would be is to learn the essentials and basics of “Photography” in real time. This way you get a baseline of what your looking to get out of your shots. The “Photo Mode” for FH4 has basically the settings of what a real DSLR would have and that is (Shutter Speed, Aperture, Focus, Contrast, Brightness,) but lacks like the numbering system 1/100 or F/5.6 (as an example).

Check out some of these links to get you started in “Automotive Photography”.

Good Luck! Some of these tips may not work in FH4 such as (tripod, etc).....tho it is still important.

+1 Very much this, this is a great idea for beginners! Forzatography has a lot in common with IRL photography, knowledge about photography is quite universal that way

Best way, play around. Shoot everything and anything, pedestrians, cars, monuments, sky, water, grass etc.

Play around with the settings a lot. The three I find I play with most are shutter speed, aperture and focus. Once I’ve mastered the focus of the shot I play with the exposure, colour, contrast etc.

Time of day and shadows play a huge part in taking photos in any Forza game.

Shadows are your friends and always understand what time of day it is. You won’t use the same setting from night to day. You just need to play around to find your way. In FH4 lighting is unlike any other Forza game before. Its more of a natural light then one that is directional.

Just drove around and pull out the camera at different places to see how the weather and time effect the car.

I am a Photographer in real life and the laws of lighting and timing pretty much applies to Forza Horizon 4 aswell, all you really need to do is make sure you don’t rely on Aperture and Contrast, it normally makes your image very difficult to see and understand.
