I’m playing on Xbox One and have been really enjoying Photo Mode, taking some amazing shots and sharing them as best I can (mainly through my gallery on Facebook though some have received ratings in the game!).
Today I tried to share a picture of a Pontiac Firebird but I received a message that there was inappropriate language. Here’s the thing: I didn’t input any keywords, and blanking out the car make and model made no difference. I tried several times, including with the Share option from my local photo library. Same result every time.
I’ve also run into a limit on how many photos I can save locally (and deleting them locally kills them from the cloud as well). Not ideal - I’ve only just begun my photojournalistic escapades!
I can add a video clip of the upload issue and count the number of pictures I have and add them to this post later. Just wanted to flag it in case others have similar problems.
Nice to see more Foirzatographers. I’m also exploring it and have had 1 or 2 shots not allowed to be shared due to innapropriate language… “SLR Front” for instance. I just went out, retook&renamed the photo and overwrote the old one, and I could share it. I think the problem arises with the NAME of the file, not so much the keywords. There’s very strict filtering due to the rating on the game [Very similar to these forums I’d imagine].
Also make sure you head over to the Media Center sub-forum. There’s a lot of like-minded people over there who have taught me a lot of things already about the forza photography, and there’s some stunning photos in their galleries.

One thing I think a lot of people are doing, is saving them to their gallery here [Community → Gallery] then to their PC. Host it on an external website [I recommend Imgur, as facebook reduces the quality somewhat] allows you to use it on here or wherever else you’re looking to share it with just 1 link. Just make sure when you right click the image from your gallery, you save it with the extension .jpeg so you can access the files and view the pictures.
Also, how many photos have you taken? I’m on 87 photos and I’ve not been told I’ve taken too many yet. and I’m sure some of the good photographers on here must be close to 100.
Thanks for the tips! And nice pics!
I’ll count my pix in console tonight but I’ve only saved about 70 pictures to my PC so I can’t imagine I’ve broken 100 just yet. I’ll also try renaming the Pontiac pic. I think it was probably “Firebird face” or something like that.
I am downloading my pics from my gallery on this site and then saving them to Facebook with High Quality turned on. I hope there’s little to no loss there. They look sharp, and I can annotate them and share them with my community. I’ll look into Imgur too.
It was 100 pics even (I deleted a few but then snapped a few). I bet that’s the limit. I didn’t upload my early ones (most were pretty hohum) so I have some clearcutting to do, I guess. Let me know if you run into the same issue at 100.
And the filename problem? It was the number 455. I had named it “Firebird 455” so I tried “FB 455” and it still wouldn’t go but when I named it “FB” it shared right away. Weird. How are we supposed to track the models of cars when it won’t auto-populate the metadata? By the time I get to the share step and navigate to the right make, the model has flown out of my head (and/or I have to guess at the year which isn’t provided in the car IDs). PITA.
The photo limit in FM5 is 100 and I’m pretty sure it’s the same in FH2.
The major limit in photomode for me at least, is the tiny 2m height limit :-/
I love the photomode, but when your replay cam (helicopter) can go higher then there isn’t really an excuse, not to allow it in photomode.
So I took another picture (a Ferrari F50) and no matter what I name it, it won’t let me share it. I even tried calling it “Car” and it won’t let me share it.
Also, let it be said that the 100 pic limit is ludicrous. I spend more time managing my pictures than I do taking new ones. It’s a quick way to throttle creativity. The game should let you save as many as you want, provided you have storage. If there’s a limit on sharing, fine, make me curate the best pics to put in the cloud. But don’t make me delete them from my local collection.
