The performance on the Sebring track is abysmal. The framerate is so erratic that it fluctuates wildly throughout a single lap, varying from corner to corner. At one moment, the framerate may be as high as 60 frames per second, only to plummet to 40 frames per second in the next section of the track. This erratic behavior then reverts back to 60 frames per second just as quickly.
The game maintains a consistent 60 frames per second on all other tracks.
At the start of a race at Sebring, the framerate is very inconsistent. Often I am seeing hanging frames, stutters and even single digit numbers on the FPS counters I am using (in game, Steam and Nvidia’s frame counters). Please look into this.
If you play the game on PC, try to turn off V-Sync and only use a frame limiter instead. You can also limit the FPS in the Nvidia control panel.
This is the only way I can play it supersmooth on PC. If you are on console, well then it must be something else.
I usually have around 90-100 FPS ingame, game is locked to 115 FPS @2160p for me.
The game is a broken stuttery mess, if I use V-Sync.
