I wonder if there is pedestrians in urban areas? Or is it like ghost towns as in Horizon 1 ?
So far in only one photo that wasn’t of the festival there is a person! But in everthing else looks ghost town-ish. 
I don’t want to see blood splatter. That means I don’t want people to cross the streets and risk their life like in GTA. Or on the sidewalks.
They could make it like Driver: San Francisco, where the pedestrians always jump out of the way.
It’s always funny when they jump out of the way of one car, and into the path of another, only to slide out of the way at about 500 miles per hour to miss the second car.
I’d love to see folks out and about in FH2. FH1 felt almost post-apocalyptic, the whole map devoid of life with the exception of the Festival and Outposts, and the occasional passing car.
And having pedestrians on the map doesn’t automatically mean they’d be “destructible” objects. I played a rally game on PC years ago (late 90’s, may have been a “Colin McRae” title) which had camera men who jumped into the road to take photos of your approaching car, and spectators lining the roadside. However, you could NEVER hit them- The camera men jumped aside, and the spectators scrambled to safety, all with a 100% success rate: no injuries, no deaths.
I get that T10/PG (as well as manufacturers like Ford and Honda) don’t want us depopulating France with our reckless driving, but having the map depopulated in advance isn’t the only (or even the best) way to achieve this. I’d rather have pedestrians who can defy physics than have none at all.

Or you could make them ghosted and have the cars pass through them. If it works with cars then why not pedestrians?

They could have pedestrians walking around behind barriers in certain areas. I don’t like having unbreakable barriers but if they’re around pedestrian areas I wouldn’t mind it.

How nice is it to drive along with your beautiful car and people look at it!
You could tell how badass your whip be by how many NPCs take selfies with it if you park up for a couple minutes.
That’d be pretty cool. Watch Dogs sort of did this, where whenever something unusual happened (like a steam pipe bursting,) a few of the NPCs would take out their phone and videotape it.

Kinda like how pedestrians in GTA V will holler “Nice Ride” and take photos of your car if you’ve got one that’s modified or rare.
There are pedestrians lining some of the streets, walking about, on mobile phones, etc. But obviously we’ve made it so that players are unable to run them over by putting them behind concrete walls in pedestrian areas and so on.
