Playing with the “native window resolution” on a 21:9 monitor, when I respray a car or do anything for the game to save a new preview screenshot in the car list, it becomes squished horizontally. It doesn’t happen playing in 16:9. Attached image with 3 images squished on the left.
Same here, it seems the 21:9 “full support” was nothing but marketing at that point.
No 21:9 menu, forzavista, anything except in-race + these glitched car pictures. Sigh…
I am planning an ultra-wide monitor but curious what this “native resolution” setting actually means. Eg. any experiences from Samsung’s “super ultrawide” (can’t recall model but it is 3 times 16:9 in one bezel)?
The option in the game refers to whatever resolution your monitor is currently on in Windows. Meaning if you have to play at a lower 21:9 resolution, you need to decrease it in Windows, not the game.
Can’t say how the game would play on a 32:9 super ultrawide, but your menus would remain 16:9. The races themselves scale nicely to 21:9, so there may be hope for 32:9, though it is too obscure an aspect ratio for the game to necessarily support.
