[PC] uber high lag in fullscreenmode on high end pc..

I already wrote with you on email.

For me the game only works while using 60 hz it’s still stuttering hard and laggy etc, probably because it only uses 1core/thread needs optimizations

Even with newest nvidia driver that just came out it’s the exact same.

Game crashes when I open it, I already wasted alot of times writing hopefully it will be fixed fast, if not will it be possible to get a refund after release if it runs like a potato?

I cannot understand how can this game stutter in menus but not while playing it is so strange. Also is there really no way of actually getting in crash logs with this game. Please add a why to find the crash logs this can help developers, and also us users…

The only way I have been able to play the demo with minimal lag is to hit ALT + ENTER and the menu lag just goes away… As soon as I switch it back to fullscreen the lag comes back and I need to ALT + F4 basically because I cant navigate through the menu with the amount of lag I get

Exactly. You can also hit the windows key and if you move your mouse in the background you will see the lag is gone. Once you click anywhere in the Forza window, the lag returns. Please watch this video as it shows exactly what is going on. It has to be like Windows 10 aero compatibility or some mix with Forza and Windows 10. It just can’t change to a resolution higher than 1080p.

After reading this sticky post pertaining to our issue posted about an hour ago:

I did some testing and found the issue. The game does not support G-Sync. I troubleshot the issue down to no freezing/lag when G-Sync is turned off. When G-Sync is turned back on, freezing/lag returns. So again, this game is not G-Sync compatible. This also explains why I have to press the restore button or my windows key to “stop” the lag. When I go into my G-Sync settings, I had the option to enable G-Sync for Full Screen only or both Full Screen and Windowed games. I had Full Screen only selected. That’s why when I was running the game in windowed mode (Clicking the restore button) everything worked fine because G-Sync was essentially disabled.

Felix, maybe a silly thing to try, but can you try to turn off “Rapid Mode” on your SSD. Who knows maybe the cache-thing causes lag? a very slim chance but you never know.
