SO after going over the specs my PC meets them just fine but my PC also met forza horizon 3 just fine and was unable to maintain 60fps at 4k. can anyone tell me if my rig is going to be able to run this game at 60fps on 4k?
CPU- intel 4790k 4ghz 4core
GPU- gtx 1080
ddr3 ram, more than 12gb.
How could anyone tell you when the game is not out yet? On paper probably but no one can tell you for sure right now.
All we know is it’ll run better than FH3, how much, remains to be seen!
and FH3 wasn’t a 4k title, running it on that resolution might have something to do with it not running smoothly???
Horizon has always targeted 30FPS, Motorsport 60FPS. Realistically I don’t see Forza 7 being anything but less demanding than Horizon 3. It’s designed for 60FPS. It simply can’t have the same level of detail and quality of Horizon 3 as a 30FPS open world game.
It’s just a guess right now but I would say it’s probably somewhere in between Forza 6 Apex and Horizon 3 in terms of hardware demand, the additions to the engine will have made it more demanding, but not so much that it can’t run on a games console that still only has a pathetic CPU.
As such I would say those recommended specs (especially for native 4K) are slightly overstated.
Super hyped about this game, been a long while for a good racing game for the pc. As launch approaches I am starting to get worried about being able to run the game without it looking like trash.
My rig specs are:
GeForce GTX 1080
Intel(R) Core™ i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz
15.96 GB RAM
1920 x 1080, 60Hz
If anyone knows if i will be able to run this and itll run smooth and look good please let me know. If not I sadly will not purchase!!

Nah, you’ll get like 1fps. Don’t buy the game dude. You need that GTX 1280TI that comes out in like 7 years to run the game. Haha!
I hope the demo will run well on my new machine, we’ll see. lol
Well you are in luck at the moment you can Download Forza 6 Apex for free and see how it runs, and on the 19th of this month you can download the Forza 7 Demo for free and see if your rig runs the demo with out a problem if it dose you should not have any issues with the main game. For details of game specks go to the windows store and search for Forza 7 it will let you know if your computer will run it near the bottom of the page.

but to answer it anyway
if you’ve been following the game for a bit now, you’ll notice in the above news post that your specs will be able to run 4k 60fps
(but thats on paper, wait for the demo to make final decision 
)

You need a new monitor. Your computer is complete overkill for 1080p 60fps.
Are you actually serious or do you know nothing about PC specs? Your PC is better then my rig and mine can run FM6:APEX flawlessly at 4K60FPS. In fact I am pretty sure your specs exceed the recommended specs to run FM7 at 4K60FPS.
im not trolling im being honest, i truly dont know the in’s and out’s of pc specs. this has nothing to do with showing off or anything of that nature.
Anyone know if the creators update is still a requirement?
The requirements in the store no longer list it, just says you need windows 10.
A few of my friends are running Enterprise and are having problems getting the update to install.
It is still listed, just not as ‘Creators Update’ but as a build number 15063.0
