[PC] Sudden performance loss

Hi folks. I have been playing since friday with Ultra/High settings and got around 110-120fps on average during my gameplay (dips to 80ish when really crowded). Last night (29.09) everything worked just fine, but today when I started the game I noticed that I can’t hit even 60fps in the countryside. Around Horizon Festival I can’t hit even 40fps.

Anyone else encountered a similar issue? I did try resetting the game, still no fix. Tried turning everything as low as possible and then got barely to 100fps, which is still 30fps lower than my average on ultra.

I reinstalled the whole game. Uninstalled it via the app icon, restarted PC, reinstalled GPU drivers (removed them first with DDU) and then re-downloaded the game. Set the same custom graphics settings from the menu that I ran the game flawlessly for two days before this problem, and then ran the benchmark. Attached is the benchmark results.

Specs:
i7 - 6700K,
16GB 3000MHz RAM,
GTX 1080 (Driver 411.70),
2560x1440p
Installed on an SSD

I have no idea what to do / try next. I don’t even know if there has been a patch that changed something. All other games work normally with the same average framerates as before. I know at least one other person with a similar problem so it seems I’m not alone.

I surely can’t be the only one here?

Same here, used to be able to play at 4k/ultra with a 60fps lock everywhere, now it either drops to mid 40s after about 5min of play or just starts up mid 20s! No settings have changed, no gpu drivers have changed, windows update has been disabled, only change was a game update.

If this isn’t fixed I think I’ll just uninstall and go play something else as it’s gone from one of the best optimised pc games to one of the worst overnight, it now rivals Star Citizen for awful performance :frowning:

2x1080ti in sli (although I disable sli for this game) driver 399.24
