A few weeks ago performance was good... now it's terrible!

Hi all,

Just wanted to see if anyone else was having this problem. 3 weeks ago, I was able to play the game at 4K at a solid 60FPS with it hardly dropping below that at all. This was on Ultra settings.

Now today, I launch the game and i’ll be getting often when I spawn 55-60fps however when I get into built up areas it goes down to 40fps. I’ve even tried going to High settings instead and i’m getting about 42fps… Getting occasional FPS jumps as well, 60FPS to 35fps for a split second. Checked the CPU and it looks like very rarely it’s hitting 100%, now this never happened a few weeks ago…

It really is frustrating having going from such good framerate to such poor framerate even though I haven’t touched anything settings wise. Tried reverting back to a previous version of the Nvidia driver but still having the same problems.

i5 3570k CPU
16GB Ram

Have you done a clean driver reinstall? And when I say clean, I mean properly “clean”, not the garbage little checkbox that you get when installing an nvidia driver which does nothing other reset settings to default, but not actually clean up the video driver. You do a proper clean install using DDU.
