I submitted a ticket about this earlier but have yet to hear anything back, I’ve been having this problem since launch that all in-game VoIP does not work, it is an issue exclusive to Horizon 4.
Xbox party chat works fine and it’s been a few months since I played but Horizon 3’s voice chat also had no issues, every other game and VoIP I use on PC work perfectly.
For a few seconds one time I saw another player’s mic symbol in the player menu change as tho he was transmitting but I could not hear anything from him.
My brother also a PC player has this very same issue, we share no common ground we downloaded our games separate, we own and use the game with our own accounts, our computers and setups are very different and we do not even play on the same internet.
A few other posts on the Reddit I have seen reporting this very same issue.
Tried enabling and disabling the mic in game, the mic is set as the default communication device, I’ve tried moving the game to my main SSD, I’ve checked all its permissions and privacy settings, I’ve tried using my Condenser Microphone, gaming headset mic, earbuds inline mic and camera mic none seem to activate in game and I cannot see other players in game activating their mic.
Does anyone know of a fix or is there any word on if the devs are going to look into this issue as it is really hurting the experience in this game killing any sense of community in-game for those affected.
